I'm a n00b14r when it comes to trance especially...
But Armin and his ASOTs sets are the reasons I like the genre :)
I know I have to be more educated about trance to say what's good and not good...
But I like what I hear from this dude :D
LoL will be the first time I'm hearing him live (I missed out on him @ Decadence)...so I'm really hyped out about this :) People have their take on his music, but I couldn't care less if people here bash him...:D :D

I have nothing against the DJing skills that Armin has but I can't stand the fluffy trance that both him and Tiesto spin.....it is great for a relaxing day on the beach or for just chillin out at home but I don't want to hear it at the club. I literally fell asleep last time he was in Toronto and I would have fallen asleep at BeB too if somebody didn't keep talking my ear off.
I have given him three chances to impress me.....every time he failed.....therefore....no more Armin for me. |

its funny because if anyone really follows armin .. any of his gigs he doesnt play fluffy air trance anymore ? .. he opens up with a few tracks like that ... and then gets alot harder
Not many trance dj's are rockin out Armin - Control Freak (SVD REmix) ... SO Project - Direct Dizko (SVD REmix) .. and other such techy tunes that someone like Tygon spins ( but everyone loves when he plays those tracks .. even ones that dont like armin) .. funny ? lol
Armins good .. and there are probably much better djs out there technically .. but he still plays the music i want to here :P |
