sheet man try living in poland ! the pope is polish so all the news are about that. I quite sick of this, though massive respect for the guy (Y)

What we're witnessing is a man teaching us how to die with honour, grace, and dignity.

He has led an amazing life. You should read his biography here .

He's done so many things; he's even been a playwright. In fact, he made a movie starring Burt Lancaster.

I wish him all the best.

The same thought of that scene in Eurotrip crossed my mind too. :D

I remember seeing the smoke as Pope JPII was elected, the only Pope I can recall. I am not familiar with Cardinal Dionigi Tettamanzi, but if he is more conservative it may be interesting/troubling to see where this all goes.

That's all we need in the United States, more "conservative" closed minds.

i seriously cant believe some of the posts in here...like seriously! if u are not a believer and dont have something reasonable to say then why not just shut it? making fun of a man that did soooo much more than TA put together is disturbing....im not just saying that because im also polish...cuz that has nothing to do with it...he helped out sooo many people. i would consider him a miracle and it seriously braught a tear to my eye when they were saying/showing all this on tv :sadgreen:

I truly admire THIS Pope...He was quite active in his early years & even after he became Pope, he travelled thousands of miles and seen millions of people...Even though he was stricken with Parkinson's, you can tell that when he came here for that Youth Conference/rally at Downsview, he was really happy & loved seeing all the young people. It was really important for him to get young people back into religion...He'll be a hard act to follow:sadgreen:
