| it sounded like you guys had a great night! i'm sad i couldn't make it but i literally was on my deathbed sat night...i knew if i went, i would just be 10,000x worse... :( i already can't wait for armin to come back to glow! haha, hopefully it won't be too far away... |

Sorry guys, I had to go back to NYC before posting a party report. I'm back and this is my report.
First of all i have to say that i came to Washington, DC because of a Darude's gig at Vida on friday night. I knew Armin was gonna be in the city on saturday night but i wasn't sure if i would be staying longer than one night. I was pretty depressed on saturday and was thinking about catching a plane back to NYC but ... damn I missed Armin's gigs in Miami and NYC so i had to be there. Excitement on TA played its role as well. ;-)
The City. It was my first "real" visit to Washington, DC when i had time to walk around and see some sightseeings( despite terrible rain and chilly wind) I loved it. It's a very cozy place with a great architecture and museums. Not as hectic as NYC.
The Club - Fur. Well, the beginning was very bad. I got to the club at 11.00 pm being ready to stay inline for good 30 mins but it was fast - don't know what worked better - security guys or fact that my name was on Armin's guest list :eyes: . Then, terror started. Security lady decided to empty my purse - first came a fight for my camera which was not allowded in the club and last - my poor gum. I don't know why but gum is not allowded either
:eek: . Well, i could leave everything but not my camera. It made me suffer for the whole night because i could take so many great pix! Sorry guys. But Armin got lucky that night :stongue:
Besides that i like Fur a lot. Sound system is awesome, lights and room location - everything is good. Crowd was the best. Probably i met all DC TA - 15- 20 people. I can't even recall everybody by names LOL. Thanks Brian aka Vtec and Peter aka Greedy for watching after me and def Beth aka Destynee for your warm welcome. It was really great to meet all of you. You seem like a real family. I wanna be a member!!!!!
The show. Dam Sampson. Wow, it was such a great beginning of the night. Remember crowd went crazy when he played "Say Hello", Deep Dish. Personally i never heard this song but i loved it and i was enjoying it together with you, Peter! I know it's your fave one, LOL.
Then time for Armin came. Pete took me on the stage. Believe or not but i was dancing 4.5 hours shoulder to shoulder with Armin.:eyespop: non- stop. Armin was great! I liked his set from the very first song to the very last one. I saw him at Spirit back in December and he made a very good impression on me because of his style and real communication with people on the dance floor. I don't know any other Djs who would be as good in it as Armin. He wasn't only spinning great tunes but also dancing and singing for the whole night. He was Fire!
Guys from Deep Dish arrived so i had a short conversation with Ali" Dubfire" and thanked him for a good show in NYC 5 weeks ago. One of the guys from Deep Dish company looked at me and said "it feels like I never left Miami", hahaha, the reason was - he saw me on the Nikki Beach on one of the nights and remembered. Meme, you were great!
Armin went from 1.00 am till 5.30 am. I got such a positive energy so i could dance 5 more hours but ... it was time to stop.
Armin was staying for good 30 mins to sign the authographs and talk to people on the floor. Yes, there were people talking about boobs. Well, in my presence he signed at least 4 pairs of boobs and a couple of asses. But everyone is interested in a particular lady who got all her breast out of a bra so everybody could see. I think i know who you are talking about. This girl got the best looking breast i have seen. With a lack of my own (hahaha) i was enjoying the view of hers. And damn, this girl got a very good looking boy friend as well.
Well, what about me..... I run to the security guy to get my camera back so i was able to take at least a few pix.
Armin was still signing the flyers. I got mine signed also ( i didn't go crazy with any part of my body, flyer was pretty enough for me LOL). I want to thank Beth! Without her assistance Armin wouldn't be able to satisfy eveybody. She was just picking up shirts, flyers, cell phones from the people and delivered them straight to Armin's hands. Thank you girl, Thank you! You were the best!
And Brian, no problem. Sorry that he didn't sign Jen's name on the poster, but i did try.
After the show we went to Mink for afterparty, chill there for a bit and then left.
I got to the hotel at 9am. My feet hurt so much but i was so happy.
I took a shower and went out to the city. It was windy and streets were empty but i was listening to AvB "76" and danced during the whole walk. I got to see some museums and stucked at National Gallery of Art enjoying Toulouse-Lautrec exhibit. Well, I missed my flight at 5 pm so had to get another shuttle- plane. Got home at 10.30 pm. Tired and happy.
Summary.
I had one of the best nights of my life. I had a chance to meet so many new people and talk to Armin HIMSELF. And being in a different city i felt to be so welcome by you, guys. Thank you very much.
Pete! Peeeeteeee! You know how much i love you. Thank you a lot for taking such a great care of me!!!! I will never forget this.
Thanks Ruud for giving me only positive energy. Dutch rules!!!!!
Thanks Peter and Brian and Beth and many others who recognized me from TA and from Miami.
And thanks Armin van Buuren. Washington, DC loves you and NYC loves you TOO.
