Whelp, Ten15 in San Francisco is screwed

Just learned their booking manager is gone. She was the best thing to happen to Ten15 since Spundae and Release left there mid last year. She was bringing in talent no other promoter would dare and getting a good response to it.
People were finally looking up at Ten15 (as lineups are concerned) and saw a future for it.
But that's been dashed away because some people at Ten15 want to keep doing hippy/freak/weird nights there.
So when the rest of the good bookings runs out (Adam Freeland, ATB, MarcoV, NuNRG, Scott Project, a few others), I don't think we'll be hearing much about Ten15 in regards to having great nights from the scene we all love much more...
Hope I'm proved wrong, though.

Sorry to hear that. I feel your pain.
Things in San Diego have gone from bad to worse. First L5 is torn down for a Hard Rock Cafe and now Montage is in limbo.
I trip over the hip-hop clubs on every corner downtown. As they say pimpery pays.
The emptiness in your stomach will not go away. |

Ruby Skye it is... |
My thoughts exactly. :( (though I like RS, I'll miss 1015 if what Dave foresees ends up coming true)
I hope PvD will still come to the bay.
Maybe they won't give up on trance DJs entirely. Here's to hoping. |

ummm....i went to "get freaky" last friday and have never had such a good time at 1015....it was awesome......packed, beautifull people, and just good vibes all around..plus some wicked sideshows...so to me this is good news..lol
and the marie parade show isn't really a 1015 show, the same people that did fusion and get freaky are promoting it....i can't wait... |

| Actually, looking at the upcoming events, most of the good bookings are Skills events, so as long as Skills stays there I guess there will still be some decent trance nights. |

Are the headlining djs playing at Skills events only playing 2 hour sets? When I went to see The Thrillseekers a couple months ago, he only played for 2 hours. I want to go see Nu-Nurg and Marco V next month but seeing that it's a Skills event, are they only limited to 2 hours too? |

Skills tends to feel the need to load the night up with their own DJs no matter how much people complain and want longer sets from the headliner...
We'll see, but I'd expect only 2 hour sets right now unless they decide to listen. :)

| This would seem to be definat bad news to the scene. I only hope san francisco haves a promoter waiting to try these unfamiliar djs to help build a better scene. the scene can only grow when all the big markets can eventually one day synchronize with each other to bring these djs from over seas. such djs get costly having to fly them from overseas. Hopefully this is just a set back for the bay area. |

| I have the feeling that J00F is not going to be a quarterly resident at 1015 :( |

| Cece is an old friend and 1015 are definitely losing a gem of a person. Their loss will invariably be someone else's gain. |
