TRANCE ENERGY 2006 Pre-prepartion and HYPE thread!!!

Okay, due to popular demand from TAs, this thread is up!!!! And a few months early. :stongue:
Trance Energy 2006 will be held at the Jaarbeurs convention center in Utrecht, about 40 minutes away by train. 3 stages, 9 hours, 10+ djs, one memorable night.
This thread is up so we can prepare early (VERY early :p ) and start saving so we can make the odyssey out there. :D
New date: Saturday, February 11th, 2006.

| IN. I think there's a travel agency that focuses on events such as this world wide. I'll see if I can find out more. Surely we must have a TA on site that may have some insite about where to stay? |

D.A. we need info on the arrangement/accomodations. we need to prep in advance not at the last minute..
1- price of air fare??
2- hotel accomodations??
3- how much spending money needed??
4- dates being traveled??
5- partying necessities??
6- traveling arrangements while there (car rental if needed)??
7- anything else that comes to mind i'll post :crazy:

Glad to answer your questions, bro. :)
1. Airfare will be no more than $500 for roundtrip. I took Martinair last time and booked thru Expedia.com They sent me an actual ticket, not an e-ticket. However, the earlier we book it, the cheaper it should be. ;)
2. I stayed in a shared hotel room, known as a hostel. Came out to $115 or so for 3 days.
3. Spending money, I would recommend $400-600, but bring as much as possible, since the U.S. dollar is when turned to Euros.
4. Sometime near the end of January to mid February. Staying about 3-5 days.
5. We can find that over there. :p
6. Transportation. Amsterdam has an EXCELLENT public transportation system. Trams and buses, as well as taxis, but the taxis are expensive. I saw one place near Dam Square that rented cars for $50. We could also rent bicycless. Everyone out there rides 'em. I don't think a car is too necessary, but we'll get everyone's feedback on that. ;) |
