Agree. That's a very honest overview of the CD.

hmmmm. at the risk of highlighting my uselessness to you all, am i the only one that doesn't rate sasha or digweed? im not talking about what they did/are doing, their skills as DJs or anything like that. id never pretend to know stuff like that. but i just dont enjoy tunes/sets ive heard from either. does that mean i just have immature tastes??

*runs and hides*

^^ i smell troll.

it's ok dude. i didn't like some of it at first, but now i think it's great. of course, it's not for everybody.

what do you rate by the way?
pkcRAISTLIN
well, i do like heaven scent. was prob the 2nd EDM tune to make an impression on me. my tastes are getting wider everyday but i just think prog isnt very much for me. as some would say, its not cheesy or commercial enough for me ;) i like songs with quicker and more obvious melodies i guess. whilst subtle *can* be awesome, its more the exception than the rule (for me). think nu-nrg, dumonde, dave 202, cosmic gate, YOMC etc.

people always rave about sasha and digweed, and i feel like im missing out :( i also dont like chocolate. motherfvckers.

if i was to check out the best that digweed & sasha have to offer, which handful of tunes should they be?

get the 2CD version of "northern exposure" - not northern exposure 2, northern exposure expeditions, not west coast, or east coast, or any other coast, the two CD version.

listen to it repeatedly - dollars to donuts you'll 'get it'. :) then, hit GU13.

fabric 20 = :rolleyes:
involver = :)
GU13 = :crazy:
MMII = :eyespop:

altho by far the best late 90s progressive record is Global Underground 002. Very rare, but stunning. Only the 'true' fans have it - in fact you can tell the elite chin-strokers from the ordinary wannabes by how well they know GU002 IMO.

"Hay guys I'll show i'm so elite, GU002 was stitched up HAHAHAHA" :rolleyes:

either that, or your talking about Nick Warren's 003.

Edit so i dont sound like an ass too:
The catalogue number GU002 was used for a shirt they did, not actually a cd.

i was making a funny based on some of the elitist crap ive seen dribbled on this forum, but would assume the GU002 non-existence is a pretty well-known bit of EDM folklore. the story i've heard is that GU002 is actually disc 2 of GU001 (tony de vit)...

but yeah, MMII = good. better than anything G&D have done, even! :p
DaveBegic
^^ ROFL "EDM FOLKLORE".
