ETN.fm presents...
Toronto Calling - Special Edition
International Exchange: The Netherlands
April 10th - 09:00 to 13:00 Eastern (15:00 to 19:00 GMT)

This Sunday morning, I personally invite you to check out a very special edition of my monthly show, Toronto Calling. Aptly entitled International Exchange, each special show will spotlight a particular country, showcasing some of their up-and-coming progressive talent.
This month, we find ourselves in the Netherlands. Perhaps more widely known as the home of such trance giants as Tiësto and Armin van Buuren, the progressive scene in NL thrives. Here are my featured DJs:
DJ Teagle

Growing up in the city of Rotterdam, DJ Teagle was exposed to dance music at an early age. Taking to the decks in 2002, he started his journey playing pure trance but over the years, found his style in the progressive sound. Having experience playing gigs all over the Netherlands, Teagle was selected as a resident for the "Arise" party series, appearing alongside such names as The Thrillseekers, Özgür Can, Perry O'Neil, Dazzle, and Misja Helsloot.
DJ Teagle's prides himself in his broad range of sounds, from pounding progressive trance, through to electro-styled progressive, back to melodic breakbeats. His roots in trance shine through in every set he plays, as he infuses an emotional and melodic flavour into his presentation.
From the very beginning, he knew he wanted to follow a career in the industry, and is currently pursuing studies in Media & Entertainment Management. He lists some of his preferred producers and DJs at the moment as being Sasha, Matthew Dekay, Luke Chable, and Komas Epsilon.
DJ Spare - http://www.djspare.tk

DJ Spare (Remy Spaan) hails from the Eastern part of the Netherlands and has always been fascinated by dance music. First being attracted to hardcore in the 1990s, he became enthralled with trance when he heard a liveset from Tiësto for the first time. Thanks to the Internet age, Spare later downloaded some of the tracks that Tiësto had played and tried to emulate him by mixing the MP3s together. Quickly grasping the DJ fundamentals of beatmatching, cueing, and cutting, Remy's passion for dance music and the art of mixing continued to grow. He currently holds a residency at PureDJ.com, where he hosts the Zero Hour show, with recent guest appearances by Luc Poublon, Eelke Kleijn, and Terje Bakke.
