Bad News Rant Thread

So, as some of you know, and some don't, I have a gig in the Dominican Republic this Saturday. So, I paid almost $700 airfare, as it's a friend's show, because it's a vacation and supposed to be a sick show (1000+ patrons).
I get a call today, from my buddy, telling me not to expect a great turnout. Since the pope decided to pass on last weekend, a Mardi Gras party was rescheduled for this weekend. It's a free party and showcases Sandra Collins. My friends party features Iio, but charges $15 to get in. I wasn't a huge pope fan before, but this is just irritating. I am an optimist and hope that it will still be a good party, but my realist side realizes that I just spent mucho dinero and will probably have a weaker crowd than I usually do here in Denver. Oh well, I guess I'll just treat it like a vacation.
Also, the girl I've been seeing isn't gonna make it out for my b-day. Oh well, I'm still gonna have a blast anyway.
Anyone else have some good rants? |

bought FS2 for £550 - didnt work. store wouldnt give me refund as it worked for them. spent £20 shipping FS1 - it got "lost" in the mail so no rebate. bought SSL for £450 works great but 3 month old M5Gs needed serviced so got charged £100 by the only service center in Belfast to realign the in pitch...
oooh tore my cruciate ligament in my knee playing soccer. did this 2 days b4 my birthday so spent it in crutches. had to cough up £400 for an MRI scan. now on a 2 year waiting list for surgery....
oh well - at least im pretty |

lol erik, i dunno if i can feel for you there. ive been hitting Michigan as my vacation spot recently, which sucks.

| I bought myself smick new uber computer & had it sent over from Queensland to me. I spend a couple of grand on this beast & was freaken hangen out for it to arrive. I phone up the guys I bought it off & they said they were waiting on the graphics card to arrive. This pissed me off because they said they already had all the components ready & that it would ship a day late & arrive at my joint in 3 day. Anyways, 1 month later I finally got my computer. I opened up the box to see that my hard drive had fallen out of its compartment & had been flung around inside the case. ! I plugged her in & of course it didnt work. I had to get the mother board & the hard drive replaced & wait yet another few weeks for them to arrive. I absolutely hate waiting. |

Damn that sucks! Mine was just a rant, for s and giggles. The money stuff isn't that important, but the knee injury sucks. Many a friend of mine have torn various ligaments, and it's terrible. Hope it works out alright. |

I'm just disappointed that I'm not getting any on my b-day, again. She told me she was driving up from Pueblo to check out her apartment, but that isn't happening until tomorrow, and she has to go straight back down with her mother. So I'm in really early stages, but I wouldn't feel right hooking up with someone else. Hence, I'll be kickin it with the guys tonight. You coming down? |

would like to, but gotta work early and these things come up at the least opportune times.
