hotel age restrictions

I heard from some people that you can't rent a hotel room until you are 18. Is this true? Just wondering as I will need to soon.

Hmmm well if your under 18 and dont have a credit card, might be quite hard to get a room.
If you have a credit card they will probably let you. |

hmm I dont have a credit card. You think cash wouldnt be acceptable?

liability and what if you can't pay your bill? hotels like planes want you to book in advance how are you going to do that without a credit card? or if you trash the room? |

ah ok should have made that clearer. ok well it would be a travel-inn, i.e maybe to you a motel. ( I dont know what you have over the water) :) Needs no booking in advance as far as I can tell. been to them many times but not without parents.
Its about as basic as they get, very little to trash! |

call them up and ask. if they say there is an age restriction, get your parents on the line and they can pay in advance with their credit card and vouche for you, unless you're doing something shaddy that you shouldn't be doing. most of the time money talks. |

well if parents give credit card, they will accept for sure. |

| You can normally pay cash, but often times if you pay in cash you'll have to front a deposit as well in case you f*ck stuff up. |
