Pretty Crappy Headliners. :( Last yr they at least had Tiesto but this yr is pretty sad. Acosta is a fkn joke. Gielen is even worse. Anne Savage meh not my style.

Acosta was okay the night I opened...but the complaint I had with his set was that he had the mixer volume way to loud to where it was solid red. Maybe its common sense to me because I know alot about sound engineering but...WHY DO HEADLINERS DO THIS??? The Red lights are to warn you that you are getting to close to the maximum level. The key is to get it where the volume is just bubbling in the reds on the channel and master volumes...and then if it still aint loud enough get the sound guy to turn up the amps (to their maximum safe level)

For those who dont understand...when a solid red signal is sent to the amps, there will no no dynamic range at all in the music, just like if you record a set and set the compressor/limiter too heavy on it. In other words the music will sound very loud but completely flat. Other than that his mixing was decent but just playin it too loud. Wouldnt of been surprised if a few of the speakers blew during his set.

I thought Acosta was decent when he played in Austin, though he won't win any congeniality awards.

& I've heard Gielan is good.

A disappointing lineup, but could be worse.

Wouldn't mind seeing Gielen, solely because I like a lot of his production work from over the years. I don't know about lately, but I've always considered him a very bad DJ.

Good to see the Trance Alliance representin :p

I STILL haven't been contacted about this...so its unconfirmed whether I will be playing this event or not. I will be in San Antonio the saturday before for a warehouse party called Midnight Circus thats supposed to have Alex Peace and whoever else playing.

Being that I work overnights from 10:30PM to 7am now.. 5 nights a week...so the likelyhood of me getting both of these nights off is very slim.
