I think that this is more a recognition of his service then anything else.... "hey, you've been with the church a long time and done a lot of good work... Would you like to be God's representitive on earth for your last few years?" |

I'm disappointed in the choice of name though.... my money was on Piux XIII..... that cost me $60, but the fact that Ratzinger won puts me up $40. |
