I'm more disturbed by your avatar. :nervous:
Wasn't your view of Catholics ever tarnished before this? He's just a man... |

| they picked him because he's old and he'll die soon. that way they'll have a chance to think about the future and what they want the chruch to go and then get a new pope... |

| If you did your resaerch then u would know it was compulsory to join the Hitler Youth back then, and he wasn't a too enthusiatic member |

| Back then either you were with Hitler or against him. Being a young boy and a blueprint for Hilter's Perfect race he had no choice from what I have read on this subject. |

agreed, and i am aware of that. but becoming a pope requires adherence to strict guidelines and certain criteria to be met with regards to background. there were many other worthy candidates (both progressive and conservative) that would have fit the bill very well - doesn't it seem logical that membership in such an organisation should disqualify a person regardless of how enthusiastic or not that they were? |

hehe, true enough. watch though... this bugger will live longer than ever, and probably cause havoc before he goes too. |

that's like saying you can never be president because you went to a public school... |

perhaps... but since when is selecting a pope about god??
(it's probably more political than the election of the U.S. President) |

lol true. i just find it ironic that church dogma would state that "if 50 years ago you did something bad we cant let you worship God, sorry"
Who knows, an ex-youth might be just the thing the church needs :D |
