It's kind of ignorant to believe that all trance addicts only listen to trance. It's a site for tranceaddicts to congregate, not specificaly to talk about trance music, hence the multiple other sections. |

There technically is electronically made punk. The earliest application of modern punk concepts would have to be synth punk, which has been around since the seventies. The driving ideals have been a part of the scene ever since, with key innovators such as Genesis P'Orridge and The KLF promoting the concepts, as well as a good many others.
Aiwendil, the sound promoted by the bands listed therein is certainly classifiable as its own genre, but calling it pop-punk really isn't the best term to use, as it lacks the driving socio-political concepts. Moreover, the term is oxymoronic, as I've already stated in my previous post. |

, I hated dookie so much, dawd damn that cd/tape turned my entire middle school into s. All singing along to basket case, all with their asses hanging out of their huge pants, everyone telling me "you dont have a life" as if 6th graders are expected to go out and party or go to concerts or anything that their parents dont let them do.
Those kids had nothing to rebel at with their punk music, just like the kids now have nothing to cry at with their emo music. All it did was make them mean, I spent my whole time on napster looking for music that wasnt mean because of the whole nasty situation, and here I am listening to trance, crikey.
To me punk seems to be rebelious teenagers bands singing about questioning authority, with low budget instumentation that reflects how they are still learning how to play. One cant be punk after reaching a certain age.
dont bother arguing with me over that though, I dont really care about the issue enough even bother, I'll just let you win. |
