| DAMN DUDE!! That was by far the most amazing night ever!! The music!!( Markus Kicked ASS!!! ) He should definately be resident!! The good vibes, the friends!! Great seeing all of the TA's !! woo hoo!! I think we all had perma-grins on!! And danced our asses off!!! I wish people would have gotten the idea of the hearts...but it was such an awsome effort by Michelle!! Much much love to you!! MARKUS ANGLES!! (Double mint Michelle's..and myself!!) Im gonna be thinking about that night for along time!! Im blown away...oh ya..a big thank you to Leon!! :stongue: *hugs* Can't wait for Heaven on Friday!! |

I just got back from LA. Markus was absolutly fantastic! Just as I expected him to be :P. I still gotta say that markus is the most down to earth chill DJ there is... That first time song was a perfect way to end the set.
Rank 1 wasn't that impressive but the last few songs really built up the energy for markus, so that was pretty cool. I agree that the track selection could have been better.
This was tottaly worth the drive down from SF. It was really cool getting to meet all you guys from socal after seeing you guys on here so much. I tottaly didn't understand the paper heart thing haha. Sorry :/
No one in our group had a camera... so you wont be seeing any pics from me.
Anyways I'm tired and my ass hurts from driving, Im gonna go take a shower.

Markus played until 5am? Thought Circus closed at 4am...he played 2 1/2 hours if he stopped at 4. We left right before close. My achiles is messed up for the billionth time in my life and it was just soooooo painful to stand on. If somehow he played until 5am, I'm gonna be pissed!!
Anyhow, got there and loved what Grant Plant was playing. High energy funky techy, incredible stuff.
I personally thought Rank 1 was ALL over the place. He would get momentum going and then just lose it...but yeah, I agree with whoever said about him finishing off well as Markus was coming on.
Markus was great! His best set out of the three times I've seen him? Not so sure. Think he was forced to play a tad faster and harder than he typically does at first and it showed a bit. Certainly better than his SF set in December, but don't think it was better than his set he played when he opened for Armin in LA.
Give Markus an 8.5 for this night.
Oh yeah, Without You Near is ING MAJOR TOONAGE!!!! That song is gonna be soooooooo huge among the prog scene and the trance scene. Watch.
Those Markus signs...so corny! Loved it, kinda! Hahahahaha....

ps. I thought the crowd at Circus Saturday night was the weirdest crowd I have yet to encounter between my nights spent between there and HFT for Spundae events.....it seemed sorta like the Skills crowd up here (ie. Dudes jumping everywhere with no regards for those around him...yes, dudes...mainly dudes doing it. People, have some ing respect!!)...although it still wasn't nearly as bad as the Skills crowds can be. |

Reading these reviews, looks like everyone had a fabulous time, and that was definitely the vibe there last night!You guys all couldn't have said it better. Great set by Markus!:D
Just could not stop dancing. Dancing so much, that during the middle of his set, I moved to the middle of the dance floor under the AC vent! Ahhhhh, sweeeeet!:D Good spot to cool off and be able to keep dancing!
It was so great to see lots of TA's again. Great to see you again Electrophile! Glad to see that TK422 made it out again; you're always smiling! Your arms definitely got a workout! Orbital, always so good to see you. You are hardcore; also Dave T and Michelle for making the trip down, too cool! Lindsey and Krister, always so much fun to hang out and dance with you. Riia, always a blast to hang out together! Met Photo_bot_2k1 for the first time, very cool! Good to see Hypersky again! Julia, so glad to see you made it, you looked like you were so happy! Jesse and Edwin, my "liquid cocaine" partners - a mellow night this time! hehehe
And of course my fellow "Markus Angeles", Michelle and Kris, all I have to saw is IN CLASSIC!!!! :D :crazy: What fun fun fun. A very kick ass night!:D |

man it was totally worth the drive down from berkeley, i think it was one of my fav parties so far, tonsa awesome tracks, crowd wasn't bad, and markus was just awesome.
michelle, u handed out the hearts waaaay too early, like an hour before markus even got on. i still had mine when markus got on tho, but then someone took it from me. thnx again for the guestlist.
sounded like the version of "wihout you near" is dif than the one that g&d played during their wmc set (proly the g&d mix, which I like more) |

The ORIGINAL MIX and the GABRIEL & DRESDEN MIX of Without You Near is the EXACT SAME MIX. G&D produced the track. G&D's mix is the ORIGINAL mix. There is no difference. Markus played the Original mix...the same mix G&D played...just how it transitioned in made it sound a tad different I suppose. |
