No, no, no. I'm talking .50 cal machinegun. 23 mm chaingun, and ad infinitum up to 8" artillery or MLRS missle launches. Small arms don't win wars, big guns do. I won't humiliate you here either because I respect you.

Hahaha.
I'd LOVE to give heavy arms a try! The gun shop/range I go to has a nice variety of rifles. Might invest in an AK or an MSG-90 clone. |

Meant 23 mm on my other post, but you quoted me before my edit. Quite a substantial difference in 23 cal (about an M-16) and a 23 mm (a Bradley chaingun). If your gun shop/range had any heavy weapon firepower, then they'd be busted for illegal arms. Only the military gets to play with those big toys.

I'll have to look into what they have, cuz I'm SURE what I held was an AK, and they had an AR-15, which is 23mm/5.56 x 45mm, I think... |

SA80
In the UK gun laws are strict compared to the US. The L98 ans SA80 were used when i was a cadet. |
Air Cadet? If so me too. :D Isn't the L98 the SA80 without the gas cart (could be that big rifle they stopped using casue the barrels cracked or something we didn't get to ise emm)? If it is I used one of emm. Looked like an SA80 to me like.

No optics either though :sadgreen: |

That SA80 bears quite a resemblance to the French-made FAMAS.

Dang. Small arms are small arms. But you can fire a .50 cal type weapon if you spend the bucks to buy it. You can't fire real heavy weapons or fully auto type weapons in the civilian world because you are not allowed to own them.

Nice, but no heavy weaponry either....
The NRA does not condone illegal firearms.

I think my shop has an AK clone used for like $500. If I get that, I'll prove to ya I can get the here. :thepirate |

Geez, just join the Army as Infantry and we'll let you shoot all of the big stuff and give you $20K at the moment as a bonus if you join up before 30 May....

Can't see that pic for some reason. But I had a google for it and I can see what you mean. They do look a bit bit dif though.
SA80's are ment to be a bit in field (good target rifles though... alledgely) cos they need to be looked after too much (without jamming). Atleast they used to be. SAS and that use M16 instead (though the first variants of that had probs too, maybe not for so long though).
.50 cal would be fun though smoke :p
EDIT: Somehow I can now see it. :tongue2 But yeah they look similar, both bullpup(sp). |
