| Yea man, the US Army doesn't play around when they send us to war. I am in Iraq right now. Kinda sucks but what can I do? I am almost home though. 116 days and I am back in the states and chillin' at home, goin to school and raving again. It's been too long, we left May 15th, 2004. |

Holy man, we got another TA, Zewad out there as well. He's a Lieutanant, but not sure in what company and all that stuff.
Stay safe, man! |

Well, something small for around $400, I could say the Walter PP/PPK.

Has a safety.

| Thanks DA, how many rounds does it hold & how many do I have to put in someones chest to end em. I dont want to have to use it if I get 1, but I know if I were in a life threatening situation & had to use it, I would want a pistol that could end someone in 1 or 2 shots. reason being is you dont shoot someone to just injure then cause then you could get ed later. Like the people who get jail time or sued from the person that broke into their own home. So does it have enough power for that.? |

I think 2 or 3 shots should be enough. The .380 ACP round is kinda small, so you'd need some tactical aiming to get the job done. My piece is a 9MM so it has a LOT of power...the recoil it has is pretty....considerable...but .45 ACP....now THAT's power. Even I have problems controlling the recoil. The PP/PPK holds around 7/8 rounds, depending on the model and caliber. |

So the recoil on a 9mm isnt too bad.? Also whats the pro's & con's on buying a used gun.? |

Yeah, recoil on 9MM isn't bad. Controllable, with practice. My piece was brand new when I bought it. Now about used guns, they'll be cheaper for sure, but you never know who used it for what, and if they took good care of it or not. Maintenance is essential to keeping your gun shooting without problems or risk of backfire. I clean my Ruger after every shooting session at the range. |

Good , man. If you're gonna get something with decent stopping power, get 9MM for sure. IMO .22 and .380 just don't cut it. If you're a target practice kinda guy, then go with the .22 or .380 As a matter of fact, when I went to the range on Friday, I saw this guy witha Ruger Mk. III .22 I asked him about it and he let me take a couple of test shots. No recoil whatsoever, but I could feel the lack of stopping power. He tried my Ruger and liked it, but felt the recoil, due to the stopping power. For home/self-defense, 9MM is the way to go. My 9 is for home/self-defense and great for target practice. GLOCKs are AWESOME, small, light and VERY reliable, but the price tag is bloated. If I'm not mistaken, the cheapest GLOCKs you can get start at $600  which for me is defintely too pricey. My Ruger P95DC cost $430 with taxes and it included the background check. |
