+1, Schedule III I believe... |
Schedule II actually... they're stimulants.. just did a little speech on em..but you can correct me if you've got the latest data...
Schedule III would be minor tranquilzers...some anyways.. e.g Benzodiazepines i.e. Sleeping pills |

I think they're grouped based on criteria for use, I'm not positive either, so I'll leave it at that...
And regardless of where it's scheduled, it's still crazy to me how many kids get prescribed any kind of Ampetamine... sketchy pharm companies, sketchy politicians, and sketchy doctors taking handouts to in turn hand out pills...
Of course this only applies to the U.S. so if you come from a country with a slightly more enlightened drug policy, you know, that's awesome... |

| They're group according to probability of abuse.. Schedule IIs are in there cos they've got medical use... but yeah.. still no excuse .. |

Just checked the site of our good friends the DEA :( And yeah, Amphetamines in general are pretty much all Schedule 2, with the exception of course of a lot of chemical variations, mostly on methamphetamine...
+1 to fOs_man for coming correct with the info... |

| Popular culture will tell us that dance music/electronica will forever be tied with drug use, hence the term club drugs. I don't know what your take is on this, but it saddens me that electronica is likened to drugs. I wished it weren't the case. |

Most good music (From the 20th century and beyond) is linked to drugs... i.e.
Jazz = Marijuana, Heroin
Rock & Roll = LSD, Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin, and just about every other controlled substance known to man...
Hip Hop = Marijuana, Cocaine, Alcohol, etc.
There's all kind of references out there... It for sure does not bother me, the more appropriate term in my case would be "intrigues" me... Besides, I think it's just part of the culture, it's definitely not "THE" culture... |

+1. , check out acid jazz. why did they call it acid jazz? the name explains it all. let's face it, music is an art, and thousands of artists throughout time have used drugs at one point or another- many believed it would aid in their creativity. let's not knock the drugs- whether you like it or not, drugs are ingrained in music culture. |

anyone.. tried? |
probably, probaby not.. either way, youre better off not relying on anything to help you mix... cus if you find you mix best when on (insert substance here) then you may find yourself up a creek when it comes time to mix for somone and you have no "help"...
if you learn to mix great while sober you should be able to mix fine whilst on whatever...not always true tho... i smoked a bowl for the first time in a couple months like 2 days ago and at first i was ing up left and right because i was so distracted by all the diff sounds( Drum n bass has alot of crazy ed up synths and basslines +10 when high) i had trouble keeping any kind of rythm going + the cue track i was pretty lost... took a while of listening till i got used to how much crazier everything sounded and pulled off a mix that blew my socks off then proceded to make the transition from drum n bass to breaks to trance and for a good hour or two i was mixing better than i had been in weeks.. gave myself goosebumps :p
kinda pissed at myself for not having recorded that little set, everything was perfect.. eq work, beat/phrase matching... flawless... on belt drives to boot:whip:
so to get back to your question... it might, it might not, either way, if i were you i wouldnt rely on it for every mix for your health's sake:thepirate |
