I didn't even realize these were hard to get at one point; not sure if they still are. I had mine when they first came out and we were told the meaning behind them...unfortunately I think a lot of people that wear them are just doing it to be cool. Oh well, at least it's a fad with a good theme.

I'm more concerned with trying to stop those that think the "whistles in nightclubs" fad is still popular :whip:

Actually it's not really that funny cause I've got it from a good friend whose mother has passed away from cancer last year...very sad.

How much did it cost, Lisa? I want one!! (and yeah, I'd take it off...take it ALL off ;))

You changed ur avatar! Why?!

They're only a buck!! Really cheap, and for a good cause.
You take it ALL off when you shower? Really now? I usually leave my clothes on, or wear a bathing suit. :haha:

I see people wearing these all the time. Its too bad that some people only buy them for the fashion & popularity factor, instead of its original intent. I bet half the people out there who are wearing them, dont even know what it represents.
What is also sad, is that there are websites out there who are selling them purely for profit.

I agree...I don't think that people should wear them for the populatiry factor. I wanted one b/c it's for a good cause. However, the benefit of people buying them for popularity, is that regardless, the money is still going towards the charity. I think it's very wrong though that websites are doing it for profit, and not for charity. I was in American Eagle the other day, and they had green and orange ones...but for fashion, for no charity reason whatsoever. I thought it was really stupid.

Another applicable reason I can think of is because of the message for TOTAs: DANCE STRONG...Lisa, it would be so appropriate for you to be wearing that at the next rave!!! :) (not that I've seen you dance...but you seem very energetic!)

Good call! I will probably be keeping it on for the next "PARTY!" (not rave...haha). I haven't taken it off yet...'cept to shower! haha But Dance Strong...that'd be cool. And you're right, I am VERY energetic at parties, I don't let my feet stop!!

I don't have Livestrong bracelet.... I have been meaning to get one but I haven't gotten around to it. It is a very good cause and i know i should get one... i think its awful that ppl wear them just because celebrities do.. and sometimes they don't even know what they are for.. i will have to get one soon... and i would say just wear it in the shower.. i wear my black rubber bracelet all the time never take it off.. its rubber..it'll dry
and i find it very bizarre that i am at *~LiSa LoO~*'s house right now responding to her thread..which she MADE ME DO by the way.. she yelled at me and everything..she is soo weird
