| I want to know what you guys do for the 6 minutes a track is playing? Don't people think that in 80 minutes of music you should be trying to squeeze a little more than 13 tracks in there? |

Actually no. During the six minutes the track moves, changes and progresses enough within itself to not need the "Jeff Mills 45 in 60" set approach.
When i used to play tek i always asked the same question but then realized how utterly ridiculous trance would sound if if were cut up so constantly. |

I see where you're coming from, but i like the way the intro's and outro's compliment each other in trance though. If it's done properly the whole mix itself is a layering/de-layering of instruments.
Having said that, trance is pretty boring at times for the reasons you mention compared to some of the other genres.
I'm pretty sure Pana would have put more on there if he felt the mix wasn't exciting enough tho ;) |
