hey guys!

after a lot of learning for my exams lately, i´m finally back with a new sample!
it´s a remix of phynn's track 'lucid'...
but somehow i stuck at the point where this sample starts and ends...
so i'd like to ask you for some ideas...also some feedback about the sample itself would be cool....

thx for your feedback so far, guys!

It's great! :D But If I were You I'd change the bassline EQ a little bit + add some nice softy sounds to the background. But mainly it's worth listening, good work m8! :)

Hey Lars..!

I haven't heard the original, but I'm really enjoying your remix. The steel drums give it a sweet vibe.

the f/x and atmosphere are awesome - you did a great job there.

lots of energy, and your percs are great. The hi hats that come in at 3:33 sounds a tiny bit dry.. maybe some reverb would help? Maybe a little variation in the melody would be nice.. but this track is pretty solid as is. Excellent work!! :)

Looking forward to hearing the finished track,
Trev

Enjoying what you have so far.

Try sticking a lower-pitched version of the lead in there to go along with the one you have now.

sounding nice mate! quite original sound combination too.

Hmm I get an overall feel of this which isn't bad, but not good at all tho. There's just no power whatsoever is this remix. The percs are very (and far too) minimal. The snare roll isn't too good fitting here.. it's quite chilling trance and a harsh drum like this doesn't do any good IMO. The open hihat is a wrong one I think, these are used in the 90, nowadays they're far more crisp and have less color. No extra elements are added to the synth layers of the original, you even tried to copy most of the synth sounds.. Now that's a choice you can make, but you can't make a chilling mix with the uplifting sounds of the original. I'm also missing a bunch of fx here to keep people alive. In the first minute e.g. there's just nothing happening.

Of course, the original is a great track and you got a good atmosphere in your track, I read the idea, but a good remix takes more than this..

Sorry to flame this down, but it just ain't that special as others posted.. maybe I'm just disappointed because of the unwillingness of my fellow reviewers to post negative criticism..

thx for the feedback, guys!

and it´s not a problem to flame on it! this helps a lot to get to know what's wrong with the track and to improve it! so i´m glad about any negative criticsm...
although i wouldn't call it negative, but helpful criticsm! ;)
