please dont go blaming the cops for that girl's unfortunate death -- 100% of the blame lies on the out of control drunken fans who created the situation in the first place. its funny how people revert to acting like primates over something as pointless as winning a sports event.

Yeah I can agree, but living up there for 22 yrs, I know those cops and they are by far the biggest pricks, yeah u have your good and bad ones here and there, most of that department are just plain s, I work in the community/protection area and in the process of becoming a cop, so I know all about crowd control and crazy drunk people getting out of hand, there is always a place and time when these incidents happen. Crowd control is one thing but using those type of methods is another, tear gas, pepper spray is one thing, but the projectiles are not, since that incident, law enforcement agenices across the country have been told not to use that weapon anymore, I wasnt there that nite so I dont know the full scenario, I know it was going crazy and everyone was rejoicing, but at teh same time, u have to take methods and think correctly on what needs to be done in order to calm the crowd, more officers, use different methods on how to chase the crowd away in packs not in one, the less they are, the less the damage is gonna be, but like verndog said, $5 million will never replace that girl, nor all of the money in the world, no parent should ever watched their children die

ya it was a terrible mistake and a horrible lesson for the boston PD, but again, they were only doing their job and trying to keep everything in control for the safety of everyone involved - they never would have had to take such actions if people just acted in a sane manner
