the sound, the croud, they used the space horribly, all the vip crap, no where to sit down, lighting sucks, the rap room, and they randomly turn on the lights in the place.
Why does size matter? Especially when no one is even moving and just standing still on the dancefloor. |
he just complains beacause he is under 21 and he missed Pvd:haha: :haha: :haha: :stongue: |

And this was from visiting the place one time?
Personally I like more lighting because I can see, I'm not looking to hide anywhere. At PVD it was much darker than normal anyway. It really depends upon the night. I don't get my jollies off on lasers so that's doesn't bother me.
Some DJ's there really get the place hopping (Sander K night for example). It really depends. On most nights, I like the crowd better at Crobar (especially it being 21+). For Danny Howells, the vibe and crowd at Spirit was awesome but many times I see a lot of freak shows there. Typically, not as many at Crobar.
I think the sound system at Spirit is better though. The hip hop room doesn't bother me, I go over there to get drinks easier sometimes. And it's definitely bigger space which for the mid-size DJ's (not the massive ones) really makes it quite comfy and room to dance. |

Can you elaborate a bit on this? |

Let's be frank then: more sicked out druggies at Spirit typically. I'm not talking doing some drugs but massive amounts. More weirdo's and clowns there as well. My opinion, 21+ makes it less so (even though it still exists at Crobar). Plus, 21+ makes it less packed.
But it can vary based upon the night and the DJ. So...
I just prefer it but don't think it's insanely better.
Both way better than Avalon. |

Some DJ's bring different crowds. Mostly though, Spirit has the tradition of having certain DJ's that bring a certain crowd I'm just not feeling. |

What does the age limit have to do with being packed. They can stop letting people in at any point.
There isn't even a place to sit down and hang out for 20 minutes @ crobar, maybe if you are lucky you can get a spot on the speaker.
And all the people weiring suits and stuff there... w/e thats gross
Anyway Id be willing to bet that Spirit would rock harder then Crobar would any day if it were the same dj. |

| You can sit down in the hip hop room. On PvD night there was plenty of room in there. I like that room. Nice place to get away and relax for a little bit and to be honest was a very chill environment to warm up in before the real show. On the ride up, me and my friends always listen to something totally opposite from trance before events. Also, there were plenty of people dancing so I dont see a problem there either. I just think you are upset you missed a very good show. |

If they stopped people from coming in then I totally understand what you're saying. But they don't. Most times at Spirit for Armin I feel there is no where to run, it's like sardines in there. I feel there's more room to breathe at Crobar even for someone like Armin. At least on the perimeter.
If you lowered the voting age to 15, then just by percentage sake, more people will vote.
I guess I have a lot of energy and don't need to chill sitting down really. I stand over by the steps and look out and relax there. But you're right about that.
I wear a suit everyday to work.... so I guess I'm that slimy suit wearing guy but I would never wear a suit to a club. Those guys are pretentious dorks. But sometimes Spirit takes it too far and I want to bathe when I get home. We need a happy medium. But Danny Howells, everyone was just chill. So I can be persuaded otherwise. Maybe it's changing.
Crobar isn't my fav club in the world believe me!! |
