LOL, I had to work, and chill with my mom at the hospital after she hurt her knee, and collect wood for a fence thatneeds to be built soon. Yeah, I've barely had anytime to post pics.
The story of my camera, was that I got my buddy John to snap a pic while I was drunk, and then I sorta walked away without taking it back. I ordered a redbull at the bar at that time, then walked away from the bar, and I was convinced that I left it on the bar for some dude to walk up, and pocket it. The bar staff didn't know where it was, and I pretty much lost hope.
I sit next to John like an hour and a half later and he goes "Oh, Karim, I forgot to tell you, I have yer camera".
LOL. Not his fault, but when he saw me breathe a HUGE sigh of relief, he goes "Oh man, sorry, I didn't know you thought you lost it".
Anyways, proper review coming soon, as soon as I finish making that Mark Oliver on TV/teaching how to spin thread into the funniest ever.

Thanks to all those who came on friday.
Both headliners played so well, Desyn and Holden are such a great combo together. Now I understand why they booked them togther.
There were many TAz, but all you guys were spread out in the main room ... didn't get a chance to hi to most of you.
Hope you you guys can join us next week for ScumFrog and especialy the week after for 1P's 2 Year Anniversary. |

Time for my review.
Well friday started out kinda hectic cause I had so many errands to run and still had to squeeze in time to make my shirt. I got up relatively early and figured I'd caffienate myself all night and then figure I'd be ok to work in the morning. Note to self: Never try this again
Anyways, I meet up with Milos and he comes over to my house and we chill waiting for Jenn (magikb) and Colin (the_sauce) to show up and take us to vineland where we proceed to pick up Dan. We then hit the liquer store where I go "this is as good a night as ever to get wasted", so I pick up 2 packs of Labatt Shok. I down 6 of them by the time we get to the club, and have about 5 more drinks inside, I was buzzed, bouncin around, having fun.

So I walk into the club and it's pretty dead, but I didn't even notice or think about that till just now. Anyways, it filled up a bit and the dancefloor was the rockin spot. I danced to desyn and loved his set. He spun progressive the way I like it spun, where it actually progresses into something and elevates overtime. Holden came on and I was severly dissapointed. I had seen him at Guv once in the Kool Haus at an all access event, and he threw it down. So much so that the crowd was going nuts and that set sat firmly in my top sets of all time list. His set on friday however was dog nutz in comparison.
A message to James Holden, he won't read it, but it'll make a point: Your set sucked to me. Plain and simple. I know you're trying to establish a chilled out more minimal sound, and you've worked hard at establishing that, but when you see the crowd get thinner and thinner since you got on, and just half a sea of people standing there, bopping their heads, you gotta do something about that. This is a party, DJ's fuel a party, it is not a concert, we are not there to watch, we are there to dance. Hype us up and get us excited and leave the minimal stuff for your mix CD's. You were once in my profile here on Tranceaddict under favorite artists, but sorry man, you be gettin da axe.

Anyways, it was great to see alot of tranceaddicts out in full force. Thanks to Kytracid for helping my buddy's out in time of need, they appreciate it alot. Great partying with you and more good times ahead.
Liam, you were great to party with. You had a good vibe all night long and that's what I in like to see. Good to know you can lighten up :p
Jenn: thanks a ton for the ride and for driving me to work after. Fun chillin with you later sunday afternoon and scaring the out of you with my driving. Oh yeah, Teen Jeopardy forever!!
Brynne - You're just as beautiful in person as you are in pictures.
James (Enraptured) - good to finally meet you. Lookin forward to seeing you out at many more parties.
Colin, Dan and Massis - Great meeting you guys. Colin used to work at the same hole workplace as me, I recognized him, but wasn't certain from where till we started talking. Whenever I party and you or dan need a ride (if I'm drivin) lemme know.
Milos - We went to the same highschool and we're both like the only people on this board to use our real name as our handles. Coincidence? jks. Anyways man, always good partying with you, you're now based in both of my bases (Hamilton and St. Kitts) so that means many more road trips.
Larissa - Fun chillin with you, wish we coulda got everybody to meet up earlier to burn one. Oh well, next time.
Karim - YEAH MAN!! Great to meet MY alter-ego at the club. Great meeting your bro too. I can tell you love the music. We gotta figure out the connection issues on soulseek.
Shoutouts to Graham, Diginut, Pett, Christeeeeena, JoinT, goodnet, Kelly, Max, Dan, nycionx. Sorry if I'm forgetting anybody.
Oh, and the surprise of the night, on the dancefloor, looking over and seeing my buddy John and him going "Karim?!" and I go "John?!". LOL, classic. I dunno what I was thinking not telling you guys that I was gonna be at system friday.
Work at 6 am ing SUCKED, and I hadn't had a chance to catch up on sleep till 3 am saturday night/sunday morning, and even then I only got a few hours cause I had to work at 8 am. Totally worth it though.

Hahaha! They did each other's hair... I met them in the ladies room, too! And used my "hello" in russian! They were so nice!

i had good time. masiello was really amazing. i luv his style of progressive. that shexy kind u kno:cool: holden sucked tho lol, just like karim said it. so boring i felt like sleeping. u kno wut i hate. that u cant go out to an event and have the dj spin the same sorta like in his sets that u download. i can barely ever recognize a song. i heard holden's latest gdjb and it was pretty cool. but nothing like his set on friday.
anyway, i ended up leaving at 5 or so.
it was nice meeting u karim and liam. and nalin finally in person lol. cool ppl:cool:
ps. two things i hate about systems. the sound sux. its so bad. screechy or something?? i dunno. not as good as the guv. and that fuuuuuuken air coundtioning:whip: :whip: now im sick bcuz of that. sinuses. that never goes away. takes forever. for some reason i always get it during the summer, but not in the winter?? so weird. its colder in the winter right
anyway. good party nevertheless!:) |
