| im on my 3rd paid of hdj 1000s. i really like the sound of them, they dont distort and they put more emphasis onthe low end which makes it easy to mix in gig sitations. allthough agian my 3rd pair is starting to break, so i'm probably gonna go for the technics when these break. they seem more reliable and still look sexy as hell haha..i just hope they sound good too. |

Those are the only other headphones I would have bought. The 25s were out of my range. The 280s sounded great and will improve after about 80 hours of break in.
Leave them connected to your computer an ON for a week so they break in.
I went with the 7506s but it was close.
They are all better then those 700s. |

how are the 7506's i never got to try them. I dunno about that metal strap though. The 280s sound prety damn good. But do miss the "feeling" of the 700s. I guess I just have to get used to the 280's. I did a few mixes with them and not really any problem. I dunno about breaks yet though. I think they were an alright purchace so far. Maybe ill just buy another 700 in the future. I think the design of them are probably the best that ive seen. But the phones can get a bit hot and annoying on the ears after a while. |

lee,
definitely let those hd-280's break in.... they just sound better and better... i noticed that when i first got mine, they sounded sorta metallic. give 'em about a week or so and they'll be sounding nice.. also, if u ever play games, these headphones are just crazy.. hahaa |
