right...did you even read what the i posted
Swamper
When I first started it didn't matter much what I put up.. the traffic was low.. and nothing was high profile. I would put up tracks I liked and thought others would enjoy as well - rarely ever 'new' releases and never promos - the point being they were being put up there for exposure - for the artist and the tune - not 'en masse file sharing' with no consideration for the artist or work at hand.

years ago, some lines were crossed and certain ppl didn't like their tracks being up there - after that point I sought out permission from labels/producers to put up the tracks I wanted to post. The only reason release groups are there is because they were the source of the mp3 - and it is a double edged sword - ignore the group and you're not crediting the 'source' - thank the group and you'll have ppl saying you're supporting 'illegal' activity.

yes i did...but since swamper has posted saying that the singles are not for playing out at gigs...he has answered the question of the thread opener....

Forget what TA says.
Do whatever you want with the music but AT YOUR OWN RISK.
There have been cases where DJ's have been caught unawares with thousands of illegal mp3's in their possession and then had hefty fines slapped on them.

thats seems to be everyones argument nowadays. download it, like it, buy it.
but that still doesnt make it legal...
and even with that philosphy in mind, TA has been arguably hard when filesharing is mentioned.

i dont know...it just seems a bit contradictory...

i better stop...i dont really know what im getting myself into :D

I don't get what is so hard to understand. Swamper has done a lot for EDM as a whole. And some producers & labels alow him to have some mp3s on the site so that they can get exposure. It is also good for the newer people on the site. But they are NOT there so you can throw them in to your cheezy cdj and play them out. What do you not get? If you like it enough to play it they buy the in thing.
Buddhistics

Is there any available legal disclaimer that anyone's aware of against filesharing; of music in particular ? And I don't mean just TA.

I hear Swamper invented EDM.
Jackson
Any reason for them not being updated besides swampers hectic schedule?
