| My boyfriend and I are coming to Toronto next weekend to celebrate his birthday. I would like to take him to a nice restaurant before we go out, but don't know of any!?!?! If anyone could reccommend any, I'd really appreciate it! |

I always love Hey Lucy on King St.
Its an ultra funky pizza and calzone place with cool apps and
its pretty inexpensive. |

Excuse me? "The Great One" burger is AWESOME and chicken fajitas are just like you'd find anywhere. You don't go to this place for fine cuisine. :P |

True but the impression I got was they wanted to check out somewhere half decent for a meal. There are lots of better burger joints in the city man at a fraction of the cost, attitude and waiting time as well! LOL
Gretzky's is a tourist trap for Yankee's |

LOL!!! True DAT but if the guy's a hockey FREAK (which all Canadian males are) this is a must-go at least ONCE...especially if you want to go out for a bday and are willing to spend the extra $5 for a burger...LOL! I think it was $10-12 for the burger, incl. fries...
EDIT:
More sandwiches...Reuben S (on King St. east of Peter--good call on the location, Trick) best Montreal smoked meat in Toronto...abt. $15-20 per person, and you will not be able to finish the combo (unless you starve yourself before going, then maybe you can eat 1/2 a second sandwich ;) |
