actually i got home & saw a message from renzo on AOL im. i opened it & then came to realize i had a problem. I didn't know it what it was doing til it was too late. So if u wanna point fingers u can thank Renzo buddy. but thats besides the point.
the question is how do we get rid of it. if peeps got it wasn't done on purpose. sry bout that. been trying to remove ir.
does anyone have a solution to this problem.
i found that it is a icon.exe file, but can't seem to get rid of it. i ran all sorts of AV scans, spyware scans & can't seem to get rid of it completely. any suggestions?? |

haha i know! i NEVER click on anything unless told what it is either :(, eh, hope we all get rid of it SOON
Also, make sure that even if the Virus scan detects and deletes it, you also need to empty your recycle/trash bins, if not then it will keep doing it:whip: |

manny says there is a file called icon.exe --- well one of the viruses that use this file is called rapidblaster so for the removal of that download this http://www.wilderssecurity.net/downloads/rbkiller.exe .
i'll post again if i find another thing related.. but u people who are infected gotta help me... if ur somewhat computer literate...
do the following :
start - run - regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
goto the following 2 keys and take a screenshot of each key (press ALT + Print Scrn), make sure that the "DATA" part is showing entirely! no "...." need to see the whole line :D now open mspaint and hit ctrl + v to paste the picture, then save it as a jpeg and goto www.************** and upload it there and post the link here so i can take a look who is infected.
also goto the following in my computer:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
and if u see anything weird that shouldnt be there, then right click on the icon and goto properties and paste the target/location of the file like : "C:\Program Files\AIM\aim.exe"
sooooooo i know like all of u are at work and cant do any of this stuff till u get home, but good luck :D :D :D |
