First of all, thank you in advance for any donation you make. Now the details:
Assuming I've figured out PayPal correctly, anyone with a PayPal account can donate by going to the send money page - send it to the email [email protected]. If you'd like to donate and don't have a PayPal account and don't want to sign up for one (though I did it today and it's very easy), send a PM to me or to Allegory, or send an email.
And we still have some CDs left, which are available for only $5. |

if anyone wants to donate but doesnt have an email account, they can also transfer money via email money transfer thru online banking... all canadian banks are compatable.. ;)
PS. im gonna donate next tuesday when i get paid |

details on this Liam? i understand the usefulness of paypal for these type of things, but I've had my share of dealing with paypal ..
so I can just transfer some money from my bank account to the paypal account.. like through easyweb (TD) for example? |

since ure with TD, maybe Endlesswave or desidel might be able to give specifics..
but the general way of doing it is buy going into ur "transfer funds" section and then clicking the "email money transfer" link.
you will have to put a secret question and a password.
I guess we can make it easier and say that everyone who transfers via online banking should set the password to "boardwars" (quotes not included)
and i guess the email addy u can send to would be [email protected] (if Michael or Sally would confirm if its ok)
but just to add a disclaimer, there WILL be a $1.50 fee for sending the money. |

Hi everyone, thanks again for the interest and support. The interac transfer options works. I did some research into it - you can check out the details: http://www.certapay.com/en/index.html.
However, the site says the fee is $2.50, which is a big chunk of any small donation. Another option that occurred to us is to simply make out a cheque to Habitat for Humanity Canada and mail it to us, and we can include it in the total donation. If anyone is interested in this, send a PM and we can give you our mailing address. |

what about bringing a cheque made out to H for H on friday at the Interferance party (no cash!)? woudl that be an option? |

Hi Tara,
It's a great suggestion but Heidi, Michael and I are off to different places for the weekend.
Please PM us if you want to contribute. We'll work it out if you're apprehensive about Pay Pal. You can write a cheque directly to habitat and we'll collect them.
The cheque must be made out to habitat for humanity canada. Please take note of this!

Bump.
Just a brief reminder that we're still accepting donations, but we're probably going to wrap it up this week. Thank you fayraree for your donation - but we haven't really gotten any others.
No pressure, but if anyone still wants to donate to this, it's a limited-time offer. ;)
ps: it only costs $200 US to build shelter in the countries in which Habitat is operating. |
