i think the whole concert thing is totally cheesy and incongruent to the edm scene. he plays CLUB musik, as in musik to be played IN CLUBS, or outdoor festivals on occassion. i mean for christ sakes TIC2 was totally over the top with him hanging out a box, and disappearing below the stage. tijs your a ing dj not david copperfield. i think his management team has totally overfed his ego and in turn he is alienateing his real fans by trying to become a pop icon on the level of britney spears. tijs look at oakie and see what you are becoming, his career took a huge nosedive after he decided to go mainstream and got away from being a "DJ"!!, and basically thought he transcended the musik, and you are well on your way doing the same. everybody hear knows i used to be thee tiesto whore, now i could careless about going to see unless you happen to play at space, but im sure your "too big" to play there anymore. your not bigger the musik, this concert concept is really taking away your credibility from the real EDM community. enjoy all your new poser fans. |
one of the greatest things u have ever said...we must hang out before u move!!!!!:D :toocool: |

| I agree that Tiesto is getting out of hand with this concept, but is still a new thing to be done in the America's by a DJ.. if it's not Tiesto it will be someone else, so let the DJ that came with this concept in the first place.. Over in europe they play in stadiums, I dont see much difference with 1 DJ doing the same but with a whole new level ( lights, showcase and all ).. leave the singers out though, and all that magician crap .. but hey, It does not mean that Tiesto is still taking it too far heh .. as longest I enjoy the music he plays, Id be there to watch. |

Hmm, well, I may just go for the hell of it since it's such a massive show. I still find him somewhat enjoyable, so, pending cost I may go check it out.
What's that track that is playing on this site though? Bumpin' track. |

| I would like to possibly see it as well. I was watching TIC 2 live over the net and the lightning and visual concepts were interesting, of course the music i loved. It's something I would liked to have seen in person. But yeah the magician crap needs to go, along with the live singers. |

sasha and digweed played a us arena tour in 2002...it is a cool concept but the sound is not like being in a club and it kinda sux...granted i had a blast at aaa this year but lets just say i got high with a little help from my friends on that one and saw things that normal people didnt..lol... the visuals were amazing enough for me that night...as far a tic is concerned maybe they can get visuals like SnD but the sound will still be weak... |

| yeah the sound probably sounds bad, being in a stadium there would be a lot of echo |

Oh yeah I totally forgot the Sasha and Digweed tour of 2002 and the AAA gig.. yea it is true, the sound of the music is lost, but I think that making it on a bigger atmosphere gives space for a bigger show aka Firworks and major laser displays and visuals that will leave the ppl in awe and take them into a new level.. but hey, is good to experience both I guess |

i watched the livestream and personally i thought his set was weak, it lacked flow, was poorly mixed(big surprise) and the periodic interludes with the magik acts didnt help. the irony, i thought it was about magik MUSIK, not magik acts. personally i cant fault him for trying it here in the U.S., but it will not have the same success as of that in europe. it just all seems to ego driven tho.
that being said, i still think when he wants to, he can rock a party like no other. but that is happening less and less each passing year. i just think he is getting away from what made him so special, to me at least, being a dj that could take you on a journey like no other. being able to project/instill an atomic energy into the crowd that few could do; ie the "magik musik" experience. today he really seems like he is just trying to aggressively proliferate his popularity and exposure. i think it is sad and it is the end of a era for me musically, i feel like i lost that connection with his experience. but i will always have my memories and i will always love the old tiesto, he is responsible for some of the best nights of my life. but those days are now past, and i dont like what is in store ahead...but it EDGAR V IS GOING TO ROCK NOCTURNAL THIS SATURDAY SEE SOME OF U FOCKERS THERE!!!:eyespop: :eyes: |

Wow. Normally it's me that does the bashing on Tiësto. :eyespop: The Olympics thing was....eh...whatever. Maybe the Disney gig was...a little silly, but it still doesn't change the fact that he tore up Disney, that set was just amazing, I will defintely keep an eye out for this TICUSA thing, I'm there...
...as long as he doesn't play any more 'angry sets' like in June of '04. |

I was there last year for TIC 2 and I agree that the magician stuff can go and he is definetely becoming too mainstream but I have to say it was awesome. The whole experience at being at such an event and in Europe was incredible and his set was very good. The last hour of the set was very very good. The ligthing was also very cool.
I agree that he needs to get back at being a DJ and stop trying to become a pop artist but I also think that people would enjoy a big event like that. Would be good if he did this one and then stop with TIC stuff. |

it was never his concept, it was ID&T Radio's. and do you really think he is going to leave the magician crap out, if anything its going to get worse. it will be Tiesto in CIRCUS. call me a fundalmentalist/traditionalist, but i think a dj playing in that big of an arena cant really connect with his crowd, the intimacy is compromised. and with that being cant get into a rhythm and build a structure set, and take you on that journey or emotional ride. not to mention the interludes totally up the flow. i just think club musik should be played in clubs, and leave the concerts to the rockers/rappers/popstars. maybe im close minded but thats the way i feel. |
