Althought I will be Going to G.G. most likely, I can't understand how anyone would want to spin from that booth.
They may as well spin from a closet in the back of the Docks.
It has been the most impersonal experience each time I have been to the Docks for an event.
The club less the tables in the middle area and the booth across the east end was a pleasant an refreshing surprise for Danny Tenaglia. You could actually see the artist and certainly much more room to dance and negotiate you way around the club now!!! |

If you have ever been lucky enough to be in the booth you would know why every visiting DJ has commented that it is the nicest DJ booth they have ever been in, that is why they want to spin from there--comfort and layout , the more ergonomic a booth is the longer dj's can play without being fatigued . try working from desk that is the wrong work height with an uncomfortable chair and see how productive you are or how long before you call it a day
The DJ decides where he wants to play from not us, teij wanted to spin from the booth last time , so did Danny last year .
we are trying to convince Teij to play on the stage this time

I think everyone is allowed to have an off night once in awhile...
I didn't like the set he did in Montreal last year for the F1 Weekend @ Aria.. doesn't mean I think he is and would never pay the money to see him again though.
When I saw him at the F1, that was actually my first time seeing him ever and I had HIGH expectations of him... if I had done what you are going to do and ditch seeing him the next time around.. I NEVER would have seen him at the Docks in December and I would have missed the best party ever..
It is just a matter of preference.. if you think a set sucks and it is the only one you have seen and you are willing to give up on a dj that easily.. well then that is your loss.. but Tiesto does a good job 9 times outta 10 I think!
You may wanna reconsider and give it a second shot :p
(just my opinion) |
