A story is that the management between Jet and Sona did not go well as far as finances and/with the new location.

The Sona star fades out...
It is with great sadness that we announce the closing of Sona. After careful consideration and market analysis, the owners and directors, 514 Productions and Jet Management, have decided to put an end to the club's operation and this, as of now. The club is thus closed.
Please take note that this decision has in no way any affect on the 514 Productions activities and events.
We will all keep precious memories of Sona, a landmark that has swept thousands of clubgoers off their feet for almost 8 years. We would sincerely like to thank all our faithful clientele which has contributed to the Sona vibe and we wish all the best and much prosperity to all those who support and nourish Montreal's electronica scene.

Did u ever go to this club?? I'm asking bc one of my friends keeps insisting that this was THE CLUB to be at in MTL?? ummm I think he might be lying cuz there are other spots that are wicked too!
Anyone who's ever been to Sona is more than welcome to post their comments? I just wanna see why he is creating all this hype about a club that shut down! |

| It's annoying to have an add at the top of this site's page for Tiesto, but when you click on it, it takes you to the docks website, where there is no information on the party. |

Just saw that Tone Depth is opening for Tiesto...Thats amazing! He's the guy who made the famous remix of Portishead-Roads i think.

Hey iLLnaDa, yes I have been numerous times hat the club. It was Montreal's or Canda's first legal after-hours club located on Bleury and St-Catherine's in what appeard a 6-10 storie(speliing?) behind another building that faced St-Catherine's street.
It was my personal fav. I would tpye on my own or I can provide somoenes else description. It is accureate minus some of the negative stuff, :gsmile: feel free to ask anything aboot it.

A long time ago, a dazzling and transcendent vision appeared , forever changing the landscapes. Since that day, she has left a part of herself and her mystical vibe in each and every soul of her faithful followers.
This radiant star has grown, defining herself as a true phenomenon. Being regarded as a leading force, she has changed lives and acquired such a following. And now, her disciples are ready to follow her into a new temple. These sacred grounds will be the place to meditate to the sound of exquisite music.
Born to the beat of the antiques drums, she has evolved and felt her pulse become more and more forceful, her body mature and her desires lighten with such fervour. Avant-garde instigator, she is calling to her faithfuls to move towards a whole new world of sounds, images and feelings, led by her enthralling beat and positive energy.
As she reminisces on the past years within the old facility, the memories of magical moments and uplifting emotions remain.
