this is so true, yall need to come ot the 3rd world, things are so much more conservative in places like peru and india.

a high shcooler having sex in the indian society, at least amongst the peole i know, the clubbers, popular kids, etc, sex will ruin your reputation compeltely.

in peru if it got to be a known thing, you were ed as well, in 3rd world cultre, people are still very conservative and sex isnt as accpeted.

you americans, europeans and canadians have just thrown away all your morals.

im just lucky cuz when i move to a new place, no one can tell my previous sexual history ;)

I dont think its riiiight...but they are there...

A big buff guy like you is a virgin? I find that hard to believe. Although I mean this in a non-offensive way.

Back on subject, I agree with you on how our society has become with the sex issue. Both the media and advertisers have been showing sex everywhere and it just seems hard nowadays to not hear something about it. I always had the traditional belief that sex should be performed by two people who love each other, but my viewpoint on this has been greatly shattered by all the people I meet who seem to treat it like such a casual thing. It's almost like a recreational drug for some. It's strange nowadays, you talk about sex and everyone wants to express their opinions about it with enthusiasm, but then try to bring up true love and most will just wave their hand at it in dismissal. It worries me to see society becoming more disillusioned by love, and more attracted to lust.

I think it's simply a result of the oppression that conservatives have put on it. From what I know the Pagans and such had no qualms with sex. It was there and it was sacred, but it wasn't a taboo and therefore not that big a deal, but still very special. For example like marriage. It's important, but not a super-taboo-we-gotta-talk-about-it-even-though-we're-not-supposed-to type thing. What has happened now a days is after the oppression put on the masses by religion and just prude old people, the young people are wilding out like the preachers daughter going to college. Eventually people will become indifferent towards it and it will mellow out. You've got to realize that modern communication has only been around for the last century or so. It'll calm down.

not that give a , but why argue with someones opinion?

I agree that at 164 lbs im not a particularly muscular person but why respond like that? I dont know how you possibly could have seen that as a contribution to anything.

Im getting more and more annoyed with CORe because people are putting less and less thought in responses. My current pet peeve is viewing this forum as a community of sorts, and when people are not only not contributing, but detracting and derailed progression...why the hell should we allow these people into the community?

If you cant answer why youre here and what you hope to gain and add from being a part of this you should leave.

What do you mean by modern communication? Mass media? long distance? The internet?

I agree that a "conservative" movement has been around since ohhh probably 12th century, the English in particular with their chastity belts...iron panties with a hole to pee through...that had outward facing spikes...ouch.

Victorians didnt help at all, and nor did the Puritans.

Something im interested from anyone who knows is what the different Asian perspective are/have been. How has it differed from country to country and over time if anyone knows?

Back on the point about conservatives though:

What is it about our society that has let this come to be? Bakc in the day it was a class based society where the aristocracy was the standard of what you should try to be like, and their weird ass systems were spreading outward. But now...we dont really have classes any more. "Rich" is just that, you have money, there isnt any sense of them being better any more. Then we have extreme lower class, but again, its a monetary issue *for the most part*.

Why are people still trying to hold on to some weird kind of ideal like this? What are they aspiring to?

But really, that question now has to be asked for the sexually charged groups as well. Whats the role model again? What is the goal? is it a counter-movement, or a directed movement towards an ideal?

Steak?! Woo woo wooohooo! *drools*

...Sorry, what were you saying?

it's funny how in high school everyone talks about sex, calling everyone else whores and whatnot, but then when you get out of high school... sex is A-OK. it's so hypocritical.

It's rather tiresome.

I'm not particularly concerned with people's sexual behavior (people who get STDs deserve them.) I'm concerned about the fact that most people don't seem to have much else to talk about. People these days are inordinately preoccupied with sexuality to the exclusion of other interests. This is particularly annoying because the people who seem to talk the most about sex seem to be the ones who know the least. Ah well... the average man is so determined to be a cretin, his enthusiasm would be cretinous regardless of what he is enthusiastic about.

boy that is really true hehe. i knew this girl back in the day who was sooooo preoccupied with sex, yet she was still a virgin at the time. i mean she would NOT shut up about this and that...really annoying...
