After listening to some of his more recent shows on radio one and from what i have heard from others I am wondering what fergie will play like this weekend?
Honestly, I fricken hope he plays good and hard. We never get to hear hard dance in toronto so it would be a nice if he does play hard. But..if he drops alot of breaks and prog such as been on some of his more recent shows well... i am going to freak.

thats a good question..to be honest im kind of hoping that he plays more proggy and groovy stuff..maybe a bit hard, but no hard dance please!
Special K
looking at some of his more recent tracklistings it doesnt really look like he plays any 'progressive' ... more of a chunkier house / tech sound ... some electro-ey acidy stuff with some breaks ... i think id go check him out if it wasnt for the fact that deep dish and nic fanciulli are here tomorrow ... but yea it looks like hes ditched that whole hard house sound so i wouldnt expect him to play too hard!

Not much hard dance, AFAIK. Hard trance and hard house moreso.

I have a buddy that spins hard dance and I don't think he said he ever hears much of it. It's more popular in NY apparently. Though, I know he said some hard dance DJs have been around at The Fly though.

define hard dance for me... perhaps we are thinking of something different?

hard dance to me means, uk hard dance, formally known as uk hardhouse.
samhouse
lisa lashes
ann savage
Eddie Halliwel
today djs like lady dana and yoji biomehanika prolly fall under the hard dance category...but a good hard dance set will take elements from most of the "harder" genres of electronic music.

not exactly.

Hard Dance is a Hard Dance

UK Hard House is similar to Finnish Hard House ( DJ Neon,Proteus etc),finnish producers add acid flavor into their productions and also bpm rate is higher . Finnish Hard House also described as Hard NRG.

Hard Style is also Hard House but formally comes from Italy ,Lady Dana used to play Hardstyle but lately she got more into Harder stuff wich can be more described as borderline Hardcore .

big names playing proper Hard House

BK
Andy Whitby
Gaz West aka Dark By Design
Guyver
Rob Tiserra
etc..
Irish Graham
