| quote: | | The true facts can hurt. I totally agree with you man but I guess since you know what's going on, try and look past it and just enjoy yourself. Ive seen Junkie a few times and had a great time but once you have seen him....you have seen him a million times. His pre-recorded sets don't take away from his tallent when it comes to producing so try and give the man a little bit of credit. Anyways his stage presents is awesome......at least he's always doing something to get your attention. |
Haha, I did give him credit, I said the music was great. The stage presense didn't do it for me though. Haha, I guess I'd rather watch a DJ spin records than watch somebody sit in front of his equipment playing air guitar to a prerecorded set. Too each there own. |

the fact that he had his equipment on the table covered with a huge black sheet definitely was a red flag from the second the set began that it wasnt live dude. it does definitely take away from it significantly , but if anyone can get away with playing a OBVIOUSLY pre-recorded set and keep that many people going nuts for 2 hours straight - its JUnkie. We just got tipsay, fed off his energy and danced our asses off. And I agree with Bri, its very true.. youve seen him once youve seen him a million times....but its still the every time! |

a pre recorded set? Interesting. From what you guys said it obviously was a good set and he kept the crowd full of energy but then, whats the point of him being there?
glad you guys had a blast though!! :)
was anyone able to sneak in a cam? |

| Great night but the fact it was pre recorded sucks. I guess he compensated with his energy. Overall a good night though. |

| all JXL does is sequence the tracks. What do you want the guy to do magic show? |

| Well, not saying he did not do a good job. I actually had a pretty good time. But what we would expect is mixing, what most DJs do. |

live PA for JXL = sequencing ch00ns from his MAC and laying down some EFX here and there.... |

| Don't think that is what he did though. |

He did the same thing in ATL and @ Crobar. He runs some version of Ableton Live. Smoke and mirrors imo. All he does is give the tracks a live feel, nothing really live about it. |
