This is ADDICTING. I've never heard of any of these labels or Dj's.
From the posts in relation to this set, it was stated that this was a different genre of acid ? :conf: WHAT.IS.IT?! Gawd, I'm missing out on so much!!! That first tune is :eyes: The whole set is :eyes:! |

Don't worry little one, your tastes shall become more seasoned with the passing years.
:stongue:
Seriously though, no I am NOT kidding. I feel no regret for liking it either. What do you find so bad ?! Let's discuss this like mature adults. But since you were so quick to knock it, I'm guessing you know the genre and origination? ;) |

there are some decent acid tunes in that set, and the guy obviously did pick the rarest. i don't really know whether it's acid house, acid trance, or acid techno, or just acid. it's hard to tell sometimes. you'd be better off just calling it acid. and people who like acid have tastes so subjective that you can't just say "here's an acid track i like, so give me more like it" what is it you like about the tracks specifically? they sound like your standard acid tracks to me.
oh yeah WARNING for trancecrackers: this set is not your favorite melody pop which your eclectic tastes have grown to peruse. download at your own risk. repeat, THIS IS ACID.
EDIT: if you ask me, most of that is acid trance. your question is still vague though. i could reccommend you 50 acid trance tracks and you might not like 40 of them. |

So that explains Coup's post.
Track 1 specifically. The groovey, housey feel throughout the whole track all the while maintaining the acid instrument in the background. That is what tune REALLY stuck out. I've got to purchase this :eyespop:
Thanks for your relevant post ! :) I guess i just have to do a bit more research. |

hmm let's hope I correctly decifered which track was which but:
Track 1 :eyes:
Track 2: definately too bland/mundane following a tune like #1
Track 3: Nice!
Track 4: A bit stagnant, but the chant is a nice touch. It doesn't move or go anywhere.
Track 5: Too much sci-fi/clunkiness going on there.
Track 6: :eyes:
Track 7: Just your typical acid?
Track 8: Mundane.
Sorry for the crude descriptions. I'm not too keen on the technical aspects of a track. |

Since you're liking this set I suggest you check Thomas P. Heckman out. He's been doin excellent acid techno for quite a while (over a decade).
Can't wait for his visit to Reykjavík on the 3rd of June, it's gonna be awesome! |

| dudes...what she doesn't like is acid techno. most of the tracks in haak's list are modern acid techno. the tracks she doesn't like in the set i believe are acid techno too. others she doesn't like because of peripheral things like "too many spacey sounds". what she wants, i believe, is early-mid 90's acid trance. |
