Plus my HK Sound system, All Panther Black Leather Interior, Panoramic Glass sunroof, 17" Alloys, Sports Package and Premium Package... only option I didn't go for was the navigation cuz it took out the big center speedometer, which is just soooo cool. It may be the most fun car in the world for your day to day experience.

Nice. Mine's still my daily vehicle so I haven't done to much to it other then a body lift, big mud tires, and some engine mods. I have some big plans for it though.

How the hell did you possibly justify spending over $40,000 on a 4-cylinder hatchback? I mean if they were $25k, hell yeah, but any more than that and I just get a sour taste in my mouth.

My Dad worked for GM for half his life, we all get the GM discount :D

I'm thinking of gettin a Cavalier from last year that hasnt been sold, we figured the math and I could grab one for about $8500

Thats a new car with 5 year warranty...not too shabby

SURE I'll come to your June 3 party...if you let me drive LOL!!!!

And dude, no disrespect or anything, but for me going through cars in stages seems like the right thing to do (of course it may not be the financially most sound thing to do because why waste money on "in-between" cars if you can save it all up and shoot for gold...) but my point is I would stick a car or two between the Mini and the VETTE!!! The two are so different that you may want to feel out the middle car before you lay the smack down...otherwise you'll never want to downgrade; this way you have experienced AND perfected the driving style required to maximize your enjoyment of the Vette AND you've experienced the middle territory so that you'll never be left wondering, "what if?"...the car I would choose as an in-between? Maybe a used boxster or that 93-Viggen...something that has a lot more power than a Mini and is RWD...I hate American cars (including Vettes) but what about a Mustang as an in-between?

Anyway, that's my strategy with my Hondas...just thought I'd share! :D

And Cale, an SUV is the last vehicle I'd ever buy for myself (although I think my fiancee would look damn sexy in her Lexus RX400h--that's her dream car right now after years of wanting the Beetle and Mini..hehehe lucky me :()
...but the HUMMA is an ass kicker. It just LOOKS badass. I don't care if you're changing diapers in the back or getting BJs in the front I think they're cool (although I'll take a speed demon over that anyday). Just pointing out that they are quality GM cars that partyman passed over earlier in his post.

P.S. LOL @ H2 RESCUE!!!

Well sir to start, the 9-3 Viggen is FWD and has horrible torque steer issues, and also if you hate Corvettes there is something very wrong with you... :haha: Seriously though man, who the hates Corvettes? Go drive a C6 or a C5 Z06 and you'll be singing a different tune, I can guarantee you that.

Second, "quality GM cars" ? Hahahahahhahah! You're kidding, right? The only thing quality that GM makes is their pickup trucks.

Yeah I don't know about Saabs...just that the 93 Viggen looks cool and sounds powerful...(hehehe fighter jet in the ads)

But in terms of quality you have to admit that Caddies have picked up a notch, Saab will always be up there, and I totally agree re: the trucks: Hummer is in that category too.

I don't like muscle cars...I suppose the new Vette is supposed to solve many of the handling issues that previous Vettes had so yeah I'd have to drive it to become a believer but I've always been a more import car lover...French cars rock...

I don't ever recall Corvettes having any handling problems, dude. Where the hell did you hear that?

I meant in comparison to the other exotics...I wasn't referring to any technical problems, just worse performance.

Considering that a Corvette costs 1/4 of what a regular exotic does, what did you expect? :haha:

che
The new Corvettes are beautiful and have amazing performance. Best car of its kind for the money, by far. BTW, Hummers are pure e (H2 and H3 thats is), they should definetely stop making those....

As for powerful rwd cars I drove an 2002 M Coupe for about a year. And I've done BMW driver training 1-3. Not to mention spent hours out on the track with both the M coupe and the MINI. I have a BMW problem... And as for the M coupe it wasn't mine, just borrowed it from a friend who went to Israel for a year... Lucky me

And a Mustang... In reality I'll probably never take the guy up on his offer as I don't really like any american cars. The vette would be nice but is totally unecessary. Next car is going to be an 85 BMW M6 Euro or an 85-88 Porsche 944 S2. For me interior styling and performance are what really matter. Has anyone actually driven an STI???? The interior is soooo cheap, it's gross.
