HA HA HA HA!!! You should do your homework before you speak next time. As said by Nem, our Brit counterparts tranpose alot of our S's with C's. Sorry about posting this so late in the game after so many people made reference to it, but I just had to.

In regards to the OP, dumb it down. I struggled to find a point of the whole post and was constantly getting lost in your convoluted wording.

+1

This guy seems like he has his head up his ass.

People have their opinions and there is NOTHING U CAN DO. No matter how many times you use this.

Why would you need to defend the music you love? if a guy don't like he can go to hell, why argue about music? after all it's just music and what I like is much different from what you like even if we love the same artists.

No, Americans tranpose a lot of C's with S's.

Think what the name of the language is.

There is more than one type of English. Hence why Americans speak a different form than you Brits which, like it or not, was bound to happen considering there is a large ocean between the two countries. I'm not going to argue if it's more correct than British English because I really don't care. We're two different countries so it's insane to expect that, given the exact same language, we'd both end up with the exact same results after so much time with so much seperation. The bottom line is that language does evolve slightly. If that weren't the case then you all should still be speaking the proper King's English.
SYSTEM-J
Firstly, it's Queen's English, and secondly, that's to do with pronounciation, not spelling. My point was that the English were speaking English first, so any differences in language are differences to how we spell things, not the other way.

In Defence of Trance

“I hate trance music” is an all too common response from a musically benighted subclass, who predicate their argument without any conceptual understanding of what trance actually is.

Remix Magazine. Fisherspooner interview. Trance bashing. I you not. They are not your usual "musically benighted subclas".

this is all very well, but i'd still like to know why, if trance needs no defence, he feels he should write an essay defending it.

See I love lots of genres but I've listened to a lot less trance of late and that's because I don't like much of the new stuff and I'm not a big fan of others. I started out whoring PvD, Tiesto and Armin, then I realized that the deejay was just a up like us with a great job, playing records to people. My tastes have expanded and I'm trying to experience a lot of different styles but to say I've given up on any style is pathetic. I listen to what I like, I search for old cds to listen to at times, I love listening to music but I'm really not just in one genre. I'm a EDM fan and I like EDM and most of the styles and if people want to listen to ASOT, then so be it, I'll bust out some other CD that I got and listen to that.

re: initial post, while i do agree with the subtle pre-dispositionary concepts laid out within his articulate formation of sublimiinary examples, i do not share his antagonistical menagerie of utilisationary fundamentalist concepts which he is attempting to offer as a post-exemplary multi-layered opportunistical semi-idealistical bombardment of melodical, rhythmical and time-dimensional....what's the word...um.....stuff. :wtf:
