The original thread title is much different to the final question, and 2 rather seperate issues.
The best thing about being a guy is that with a $50 hair cut, 4 weeks at the gym, $400 on clothes and shoes, $50 at a tanning salon, $20 on a book on body language, $0 on a big smile, $0 on lots of energy, $10 for some scissors and tweasers to make nose and facial hair perfect, $10 for some teeth whitener, $20 for some face waash and moisteriser, $50 for some body waxing, a guy can go from "ugly" to "cute" instantly and most importantly $50 on at least 2 books on shyness.
In my personal opinion its much harder for girls to attain attractiveness as the competition is much tougher and many do all the above, and on the other hand many guys will be slobs if allowed to be.
As in regards to the second issue of how to gain confidence it comes from experience, so get him to count how many times he talks to girls on a weekly basis. A guy low on confidence may only rate 1 or 2 or 5 conversations with a female they don't know whereas a confident guy will be up around 50 to 100. Personally I chat with people in lifts, behind the register at the supermarket, at dozens of shops when shopping for clothes. I ask them about their week, their interests, their weekend, they fun times, their favorite holidays, sex, lots of stuff. |
