R. Kelly's New Song (Trapped in the Closet)

Anyone else heard this one? It's in five different chapters and to my knowledge only the first 3 have been released.
I must hand it to R Kelly... he did something that's just not seen in the hip-hop/r&b scene too often - he told a story. It's about how R. Kelly is cheating on his wife with a chick. The chick's husband comes home and you later find out that he's cheating on his wife.. with a man. Heh. That's where the title comes from I guess.
Sure the story is far-fetched, but at least it's better than most of the stuff on the radio in this area.

Apples with Oranges.
R. Kelly actually has great vocal talent. yeah, some (okay.. most) of his songs are stupid as hell, but this one really is different than your cookie-cutter .
And how can one hate on good R & B (not necessarily R. Kelly).. it's soulful music. |

I think R&B has lost its meaning.
Years ago (I wasn't around then but so I believe..) R&B meant soulful, groovy stuff. A bit more danceable than plain soul or blues. Decent music with a soul anyway. Now R&B is soulless, commercialised crap, with provocative videos and bad lyrics. What happened :p |

i understand it to be, he cheating with a married woman, and they are making love. then the husband comes home, and he hides in the closet. she's naked, so she makes it seem like shes naked waiting for the husband to come home. he's excited, and they start kissin, but then, r kelly's cell phone or pager rings, and the husband hears it. and so he goes searching around lookin for r kelly. he then looks at the closet and as he goes to it, r kelly gets out a gun, and just before the husband opens the door, the song ends.
i heard it like 2 weeks ago. |

whoever posted about r&b of yester-year, thank you. that's what i meant about quality r&b. there's none being put out these days. go back to the 70s and you'll find so much soulful music going on.
you guys really need to broaden your horizons. edm isn't the only good music on the planet, ya know. |
