| i dunno if there is a 'best' style. hehe. they're all really good and unique in there own way. each country is renowned for their trance stylez. :) so i pick all 3. hehehe. but i have been listening to more german and netherlands trance these days. the prog i listen to is more uk tho. |

| I'm into really uplifting stuff, so its out of Dutch or English for my favourite, but Germans got it's merits :D |

it all depends on what you think is UK Trance, and what is Dutch trance, and German Trance
to me:
German Trance: the Banging trance
Dutch Trance: Uplifting
UK Trance: Progressive and garage
I like the German and Dutch Trance the best :) |

There was a time when I, like Blik, thought that UK trance was mostly about prog/garage. Being an epic-uplifting fan myself, I went exclusively for Dutch and German trance.
But I recently discovered how wrong I was. What about Sunscreem, for example? Songs like "Exodus" and "Please save me" are spectacular. And K90? I really like K90's epic synths combined with a driving, pulsating bassline. Finally, I just got a record called Hypnotic State - Empathy (UK artists), which is extremely powerful and epic.
I would say these UK artists produce top-quality melodic trance, and I probably left out many others. |

Eugene is spot on, there are many brilliant UK trance producers who dont get much recognition, and others who do but most dont think they are British, such as Above & Beyond, Michael Woods (?), Lange, Agnelli & Nelson, Coast 2 Coast to name just a few. So its not just about prog in the UK. As for my fav, i love all types, German for harder edged trance, Dutch for the uplifting and epic and the UK for a bit of a mixture.
Peace :D |

| nice one ravemonkey. that's a good way of putting it. same goes for me. every country has awesome artists that produce a variety of genres. so it's hard to say that this country is 'this' kind of trance i guess. unless you're referring to the dominant 'sound' of that country. |

| I also agree that each of those countries have many artists that product different types of trance, but considering the dominant sound in each country, I would say I'm a fan of Dutch music because a lot of uplifting stuff I do hear seem to come from the Dutch artists. |
