Hey everyone,

This is the latest production I've been working on with my partner Andy who's ta handle is Andru C. Its a bit different than our other track Hydro - Morning Haze which was more progressive. This track has a bunch of melodies flying in, some cool sound effects, and hopefully a slightly different feel than most other trance tracks. We still need to finish the ending of this track so its not a complete clip. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks... =)

Add some more transition effects, filtered noise, sweeps etc... the melody is nice the strings are nice. Maybe bring the kick a bit more forward in the mix.

hi hai

great song!

7/10

4:40 mark... peaceful...

melody that starts off at 5:30... is incomplete and leaves u hanging at 6min mark

great work hai lee, you definitely have the 'talent'... looking forward to more of ur work

very impressive.... i gotta say i love that psy-trancey synth (high pitched one) that comes in early in the song and stays throguhout... smomething abotu it, i like a lot hehe.... the melody is great, although, i would suggest making it a little choppier and have usage of more synths then 2 every count, but thats a very minor criticism, everything else is very good, i like it :D
sot
decent tune..one criticism is it sounds very reasonish and kinda outdated..synths need more beef, percs are kinda weak..melodys flow together, jus needs something to make it more beefy and fresh sounding. keep werkin the productions and they'll come to you.
DJ A.i
nice track... def. has a lot of potential. was wondering what you made this with?(production setup)

hey guys, thanks for all the comments..

as for transition effects and sweeps, we still have to fill in the whole track, but we were definitely planning on adding more of those... there are a bunch of more subtle elements that you can't quite hear yet though. we actually have another clip of this track which was mastered by a friend and it sounded crisp, punchy, and clear. once we complete the whole thing we're gonna ask him to do the mastering again. hopefully then it'll sound more complete and full.

as for the whole feel, it does seem more serene and i know a lot of people would rather have more synths, beefier sounds, and a pounding melody, but we wanted a more melodic and emotional sound rather than typical arpeggiating synth found in the access virus that everyone seems to be using. the main synth in the break starts out as an oboe, and changes to a cello. we're sorta looking at this more like a symphony that changes over time, rather than typical buildup with 3 or 4 melodies that are used, repeated, and then layered with a synth sound. better to be different than follow the same pattern imo ;). hopefully once we get the final mixdown and mastering done, everyone'll be able to pick out the more subtle sounds that are kinda drowned out right now.

dj a.i., we are using logic 5.5.1 and a bunch of soft synths (atmosphere, vanguard, korg v-station, etc.), free samples d/led from the internet, we mostly make our own sweeps and sound effects, aside from that, we also have a cheap behringer mixer, 2 krk rokit 5's, and a m-audio keystation. we're looking to begin adding some hardware soon, and a g5..... then the fun begins... =)

This track actually matched my current mood perfectly! :p

I loved it honestly... it was very sweet and it dripped emotion. it would definitely be something I chill out to after a hard workout at Palladium, right Hai Lee :)
