+1
and you cannot ignore Spurlock's nutritionist survey, where 3 of 100 said McDonalds was okay to eat every week. (going from memory, correct me if I'm wrong)
Or, flip to the special features and watch as McDonalds fries fail to grow mould after 10 weeks in a sealed jar (regular fries from a restaurant started going to after a few days).
I think Spurlock has done a fantastic job of creating a fair film. Sure, not many people eat McDonalds every day, and some of those that do are quite healthy (19000 big mac man), but obesity is becoming a huge problem, and fast food, combined with lack of exercise is largely responsible for it.
And where does Spurlock promote eating Tofu for 30 days a week? Sounds like a pretty sensasionalist comment to me. |

it IS ok to eat mcdonalds once a week. Why wouldnt it be? And i never claimed that he said it was ok to eat tofu. I used it as an example of what people consider to be healthy. You could eat nothing but oranges every meal for a month and youd have big problems as well. Any food is dangerous if you over do it.
This movie was very one sided and sensationalistic. Im sure you can gain 24 lbs if you eat like a pig every day but no one is suggesting that an normal person would do that. Id like to see someone eat something considered "healthy" every day and gorge on it non stop for a month and see if they dont end up in the emergency ward. |

Eat at that place for a month for every meal, pig out like crazy and order the beef or chicken or anything fried and you will have similar results im sure.
Everything is fine in MODERATION
Even real doctors and nutritionists will tell you this. |

but Spurlock is not just eating ONE particular hamburger. McDonalds provides a menu for all meals. Pancakes, burgers, sandwiches, salads, sundaes, pop, chicken nuggets... that doesn't just sound like one food to me. He's eating a variety of foods... but McDonald's brand foods. Food that is reheated, deep fried, frozen, etc. |

| Moderation only goes so far, it adds up. So I smoke in moderation, drink in moderation, use mescaline in moderation, eat KFC in moderation, ... you get the point. Scientifically the Supersize Me experiment was ridiculously flawed, but it gives you a good idea of what McDonalds can do to you, why not eliminate it. |

If we knew where most of our food came from, how it was handled or what it was actually made of we'd never shop at the supermarket again.
Moderation is key. Like i said, everything has the capability of doing damage if you overdo it. |

Exactly. Bottom line is your body needs a variety of nutritional elements, some of which have been 'identified' as unhealthy. However, a lifestyle that does not moderate all the spectrums of fats, proteins, and carbs leads to an unbalanced diet. |
