BT - Emotional Technology. Underrated album!

Sure, it's poppy, but see behind the sugar coating and you got one of the best albums of 2003. In my opinion this is the BT album that comes closest to the magnificance of ESCM. It's great, and also a great showcase for BT's 1337 production skillz - everything fits together with nanometrical precision.
Do you like it or is it too poppy for you? |

deepsky's 02 cd did a better BT impersonation then ET. ET didn't really have a single track that Caught my attention. Movement In Still Life, is still 10x better then ET.

Don't know what the Deepsky cd you're talking about is. (tell me!) However, I don't really like M&S and Namistai. While we have Paris, which is also a great track on ET.
I'd put the (non-compliation) albums like this:

I have the first 2 on vinyl as well... Some nice tranceish breaks
Deepsky - Jareth's Church
w/ Cass & Slide mix
Deepsky - View From A Stairway
w/ human movement mix
IMO its produced really well, album kinda laggs a bit imo @ the end. But starts off great.
View From A Stairway, mixes well with Harry Peat - Affrodizziac (which goes well with Hybrid - Symphony) |

| Unfortunately for me, I don't think any BT album, not even Ima comes close to ESCM. If BT would stop trying to "commercialize" his productions then he would be a far greater artist. |

he doesnt have anything to prove. I doubt hes going to try to challenge is older stuff... |

You want recommendations? :) Sure, I can provide them... name one artist you like and I'll say similar and/or otherwise good ones.

| I didn't enjoy EM nearly as much as his other albums. It's amazingly well produced, but like in the movieworld, great production doesn't always guarantee good stuff. |

Id take anything. Its fun listning to different stuff.
What some good "Progish" Goa. Most of the higher BPM Psy kinda turns me off...
If I had to name some they would be the move obvious ones...

Ahm, prog isn't my favorite part of it really, but they say Atmos and Ticon are good. So I'll just move to other recommendations:
I'd say Filteria is a safe bet! His album Sky Input was isn't only chaotic and multi-layered, but it was also heralded as one, if not THE best of 2004.
I'd also say Juno Reactor - Beyond The Infinite. Unlinke their newer stuff (which is even better though!) this is very much goa/psy.
Green Nuns Of The Revolution make acidic goa deluxe.
Pleiadians - IFO is just about the most classic chaotic multilayered album in the scene.
Transwave - Helium. The whole album is great, but there's one track on it that's INCREDIBLE: Trashish. Very trashy and metallic masterpiece.
UX also uses a lot of acid on Ultimate Experience, it's very crunchy and a bit dark too. I like it.
Sadly the goa part of the universe is running dry a bit lately... so other than Filteria, there isn't much new stuff worth checking out.
