UPS just lost nearly 4 million Citigroup customers' information including ss #'s. And you trust them with your Tiesto tickets? |
LOL. I use UPS for all my amazon.com and amazon.co.uk cd purchases, roughly 50 cds in last few years alone, and I haven't had a single problem, so neadless to say I'll be fine. Plus I work from home some days and I should be able to work from home next Wednesday. |

Got my ticket!!!!! FYI, it's a lot cheaper if you get a hard ticket, and you won't have to deal with exchanging your online ticket for a hard one at the door, like we did for Monster Massive last year.

well that was because we had groovetickets ticket |

For a 4 hours set???
He spun 5 in the Palladium on NYE for less. |

| Yes, and he is playing 6 hours in Toronto for the equivalent of $40 USD. 4 hours is short for a Tiesto set and extremely short for a Tiesto in Concert. I will still more than likely go to one of the east coast shows though. I have been checking Ticketmaster for how many tickets are left. While it's hard to say with the GA tickets, the upper levels seem to be going at a steady pace. |

As I've said many times before, I don't personally think Tiesto sucks, nor is he a bad producer.
But I do think he's lost a lot of passion. Especially when it comes to DJing.
If Tiesto wants to focus and concentrate on a set, he can be the best. I mean, absolutely the best. When it comes to sets that have absolutely blown me away, his sets are ahead of the game, IMO. Although, the last set of his that I can recall off the type of my head that I consider completely mindblowing was his Amnesia Ibiza from July 28, 2003. Those two hours are just OH MY ING GOD!!!
But it comes down to that….examples….
Last June, Tiesto played here in San Francisco and played a decent set. Nothing great, but solid.
The very next night I saw him at Avalon and thought he was horrible. His track selection was just whack and his mixing was subpar.
I didn’t go the next night at Avalon again, but everyone says it was a complete 180 from his Saturday night set. Simply awesome.
In December….
I saw Tiesto here in SF and thought his set was GREAT. The crowd sucked, but the set was NOICE. Pretty progressive, though. But still, he didn’t sit around talking to the girls all over the stage. He buckled up and focused on the decks and it showed. Beautiful track selection, mixing, etc. It was unfortunate it was only two hours.
I forgot where else he played that week, might have been in LA or maybe it was Vegas, but again…the reports were “he was ing up. Not paying attention. etc etc. boring.”
So as I said, I feel the problem people should have with him is not over the quality of his mixing abilities or track selections, but rather the passion put towards them. When that passion and focus is there, he is still the shiznot.
I really hate talking any type of about Tiesto. He was my favorite DJ the second my brother-in-law brought me back some mix CD of his in like 1997 while he was in Amsterdam. He is still my favorite DJ deep down today, which is why I will always have hope for Tiesto…just like I have hope for Oakenfold….although my hope for Oakey is fading at this point.
But that's just me. | even though i dont agree with much of what u say....i have to agree with u on this....ive seen Tiesto 12 times and just once, it seemed like he didnt really want to be there.....Vision in 2004....he can be by far the best when he wants to be...... |
