I saw people talking about this in another thread so I thought maybe it would be nice to have a thread of its own.
State some tracks that you have a real difficuly mixing into or out of.
Myself, the hardest track I have difficulty mixing out of is....
Push - Till We Meet Again
This is just so ridiculous to mix out of. Such a good track too =]. The song is so distinct and just stops without any friendly beats to mix out with.
Rank 1 - The Citrus Juicer
This track I have a bit of difficulty mixing into because it starts pretty abruptly. Requires a quick mix which is different from my style of mixing that is mainly composed of holding mixes for long smooth transitions. |

| i think the two you mentioned aren't that bad if you have eq. i think the tiesto mixes of flesh and das glockenspiel are hard to mix because they just keep on going and the kickdrums aren't too obvious. silverblue blue sky tracks start and end very quickly. |

I find one of the hardest songs to mix into is Oliver Liebs mix of Wide Eyed Angel because there are some extra drums that if you pay too much attention to them and not the main beat then it will throw the whole mix off especialy when doing a long mix. There are a couple of songs i have that have no damn ending therfore u have to start the mix way off in the middle of the last chorus, eg. PVD- The Riddle(vandit mix) and also Dj Tiesto- Theme from Norjefell both have absolutely no ending and if u arent paying attention then it will be too late. And by the way Natious- Amber is a nightmare track to mix into and out of, for some weird reason, even Oakey has a hard time getting it to sound good lol.

"I wanna rock" on the BK- tragic Nucleuz hard beats ep
it's a horror! every once in a while 4 extra beats are added! |

2 Boys and 1 Girl - U Know Nothing (Vocal Remix)
However cool that bassline is...it is one mean thing to make a smooth transition with. |

Prologue - Tenth Chapter (PVD Remix)
The opening is slow and doesn't have any kick type things until way later, so making it align right can be a little tough.
I think it's the PVD mix, but my record (from Cyber) doesn't say which mix is on which side...The other possibility is that it's the Carl Cox remix (But I think that was the mix that was mainly percussion -- PVD would never do anything like that. :)

eh? i kinda disagree w/ the first 3 posts, i havent had any trouble mixing out there, not w/ flesh or strange world... maybe till we meet again, i can see how that can be troublesome. but mixing IN?
humate - love stimulation (pvd mix) its an ABRUPT beginning that's not a 32 count, but a 12 count! before the kicks start. argh.
and the same kind of thing with dj remy - pumped up, doesnt begin with the traditional 4 measures of 8-counts.. more recently ive been finding way out west - intensify annoying to mix in
and one that ALWAYS gets me, cuz the beginning drums are pretty long, is alibi - eternity. blargh |

| Rhythm of Life - You Put Me In Heaven (thrillseekers mix) isn't too difficult to mix in or out of, but during the intro, the next layer of new sound kicks in 2 beats early, which always throws me off when I start to match the beats :D |

| Humate:Love Stimulation(PVD mix) is a terrible track to mix. Not only the way it is contructed, but even sound of the bass can be quite annoying. Luckily for us, that's where good eq's come into play. |
