Went to club Bleu to see Max Graham Last night. I even went ahead and purchased a vip ticket for $40. I wish I could get my money refunded. If I would have known he was going to be playing a bunch of house, I would have never went. His set probally only had like 3 progressive tracks in it, and the rest was house. Why are all these djs spinning house? What the hell is the big deal with it? House music just does nothing for me at all. I would rather stop spinning than start spinning house.

| well it sounds like you just didn't no anything about max or his sets. max has been primarily a house dj for years...personally i enjoy his sets, but you only have yourself to blame on this one buddy... |

| I may be the one to blame, but I thought it would be more progressive type stuff (trance at a slower bpm). I got that impression from his tracks that he produced. Sorry if this was my first time I have seen him play live, but the stuff I heard last night is not even close to the tracks that I have heard of his. |

| maybe you should have checked the tracklists of the last couple of live sets he did...it MIGHT give you an idea of what the dj might play on the night itself.. |

| Bar_none, Coastline, Dying to Survive, Falling Together. I would not call these tracks House. They do not even come close to house. They are older tracks, so he must of switched styles a little thru the years. No big deal, you live and you learn. Looked like other people enjoyed his set. But for me, I can't even dance to house. I get no feeling from it. |

i think alot of the more proggy tracks you are referring to are remixes. it pays to research though ;)
i think he can play a bit more proggy sometimes, maybe you were just especially unlucky |

Not only remixes, his songs are progressive as well. His newest EP with Automatic Weapon and Does She Know Yet is very progressive. I've never heard a live set from Max, but I know his productions well and if I was to see him live I would assume his set would be like his productions. I don't think that's too odd, most to all of his productions are progressive. And I know what you mean about house, if it's too housey I can't get into it, I love progressive house but if it's the type of house I'm thinking of then I understand. |
