This is true...the only crappy thing is waiting for that time to pass!

past few months, i've learned to live my feelings day by day. any thoughts on the distant future, makes me miss the moments that count right now..and i don't want them to pass me by...

can't tell you how to deal...

but it won't always hurt this much...

breakable
Accept the pain and don't try to ignore it, that's my advice. It's hard to calm yourself down, but upsetting yourself is so easy. Maybe you could be a bit masochistic about it? Feeling sadness can be enjoyable.

When my last girlfriend (of nearly 2 years, yeah not so much but still very meaningful) talks to me, I always come out of the conversation a bit depressed, but 5 minutes later I remember that I'm free to do whatever I want. It's a great feeling afterwards.

The whole being friends thing is totally stupid. Don't get depressed, go out and party. Celebrate your singleness and ability to hook up with whomever you please.

Until you're married all bets are off!

I agree with this sentiment and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Being single is so awesome in the summer.

Hah Eric you crazy bastid!
I agree w a lot of the stuff said here, just be happy you're single, it may be hard as of now to think like that but moving on shouldn't be that hard considering the summer is here, going out will be a lot easier in that respect.

Must be difficult to have an ex around/in the same group of friends...

Nucca youza badass mofo...(hehehe I like the way you spell it--stole it off yo ass)

Seriously, though, Adrenalina...my dear fellow Tiesto lover...I find that just cranking up your favorite trance beats really soothes when you feel like ...I'm sure you've already done that (unless Tiesto reminds you of him...that would really suck then)

Music/movies/sports anything that keeps you occupied so you can get him out of your mind.

I hope you had closure, though, because that was the one thing that hovered over me for the longest time after my terrible break up. I mailed her everything she had ever bought me, all our pictures, ANYTHING that reminded me of her. Just purolated that box of nightmares to her WORKPLACE to try and embarass her just the way she totally made me look like a loser dumbass the way she dumped me...but despite my trying to be aggressive about it, she haunted my thoughts for so long because we never really had a "rational" closure, of her acknowledging how I felt and vice-versa.

Hope yours ended in the best way it possibly could.

Just be careful of the "rebound" effect, take a little "me, myself and I" time.

It is really a good thing that you ended this before you took this to the next level. Just imagine the real pain if you would have gotten married, only to find you couldn't get along. That's where the REALLY big hurts happen.

listen to a little Gloria Gaynor "I Will Survive" ;)LOL
You'll come out on top!

Mirror mirror on the wall
Tell me mirror what is wrong?
Can it be my De La Clothes
Or is it just my De La Soul
What I do ain't make believe
People say I sit and try
But when it comes to being De La
It's just me myself and I
It's just me myself and I

My advice would be to get yourself a cute plush animal toy :) Go to toys'r'us and just let it flow, a one that needs a new home will call your name! Or just get a puppy.

Just have fun, forget about it. It's hard but it's all you can do. Move on hang out more with your friends or whatever to keep you occupied and eventually the hurt will go away.

Or just get jiggy with everyone you meet... I don't know if it's constructive but it will take your mind off the whole situation at least :) j/k
