yea, thanks for hooking skye and myself up with this cd at Max Graham. i liked this cd. it stays in the car, ready to play at a moments notice :gsmile: like what you did with

its a slow mix to begin, then just gets better and better. i know i suck on music reviews, but this cd has something, MIXING IN KEY a la AvB A State of Trance 2005.

yeah it does start out really slow as the first track is a chillout/ambient track and it was a very tricky mix into a chillout breaks track that was twice the tempo but still compatible, then from there into the progressive and then building it up. I like my mixes and sets to have an origin (if I am not mixing out of another set, a direction and a destination as far as the last track...hence the whole taking listeners on a journey concept.
Nah dont worry about giving good reviews or not, if you liked it and are honest about it thats all that matters with me. Look forward to playing at Antro on August 27th.. its a ways away but uts gonna be alot of fun :) |

| well, matthias, great mix. honestly. i flipped it on right before going to sleep, turned on winamps visualizer (which by the way the new version has some awesome ones added) and listened to the whole thing without falling asleep. absolutely terrific. i could rave on and on about how good it is. being me, i have to throw in one negative to counteract being too nice and that was i didn't like the alive lyrics over the music. it kinda clashed and sounded really out of place. i was excited to hear what it sounded like, but i didn't care for it. other than that - flawless. i really love this mix. |

I do appreciate the honesty and I was really divided over this part, whether to keep the blend or discard and overdub the original. Alot of people said they liked it so I kept it (shrugs) I know what you mean tho.

I can quit honestly say these are some of the best user produced mixes I have seen on TA.com. Have not listened to all 5 yet but what I have listened to have a great flow and melody to them. You got some skills! I will defiantly be looking for more stuff from you! |
