Having lived in Miami for over 16 years now, I was given the rare opportunity to witness amazing musical events and others perhaps not as high-profiled but relevant indeed...

Before Nirvana broke back in 1991 I was into new wave, goth, brit pop and industrial...you now Ministry and all the shabang...that's wat the dancefloor was for...jaegermeisters and ministry

EDM seems a broader style than what I see mentioned here...as soon as someone added synthesizer and drum machines onto the mix I was already trancin' to it...try to convince me otherwise. :tongue2

I would say my EDM evolution could a little bit like these:

New Wave
Techno
Tribal (that would become drum & bass)
Trance (the one and only genre that kikced me in the back of the head, instantly sold!)
House (the style I stayed most loyal to for years)
Trance Again, I feel I went full circle with trance...for me, it holds the bals of rock, the groove of house, the trickiness of techno and organic sounds of tribal...

I can't sum my EDM evolution on EDM alone...music is music.

I'm going to wichita!
