Be independent, goal focused and ambitious.
If you are in a relationship and you feel the need to have to 'prove' your love, any attempts you make at 'proving' it will only push the guy away and give him too much for too little.
In an extreme case of this would be when you are with someone and don't have the heart to break up with them, so you treat them bad in the hope they will instead leave you, you may do this to somehow alleviate yourself of some of the guilt involved in breaking someone's heart. What you will find though that when in this predicament that the other person does not only not leave you, they try harder and harder to make you happy, and often put up with , when quite simply if you are in a relationship and the other person is not treating you with the respect you deserve then you are best off leaving straight away, or at the very least be as independent as possible, take on some new interests, hobbies, make new friends, lose some weight, go into an adult shop get a little sexually risky, pretty much anything that will empower you as an individual so you never need to 'prove' your love to anyone. |
